Hvis du er en af de mange, der ejer et Garmin smartwatch, så har du muligvis bemærket, at uret har en tendens til at få nervøse sammenbrud. I denne uge blev brugerne ramt af et mareridt – en "blue triangle of death" bug, hvor flere populære modeller, herunder Fenix, Forerunner og Venu, meldte sig til fest i boot loop-land. Hvad sker der, spørger du? Jo, det viser sig, at Garmin-brugere står over for en endeløs genstart, og ingen ved, hvordan man ender denne fortryllelse. Bare rolig, det er ikke noget magisk trick, men snarere en teknisk fejl, som Garmin arbejder på at løse.

Men hvad er grunden til, at disse Garmin-enheder nu rattler som en skraldespand i en tornado? Det ser ud til, at flere modeller, blandt andet Forerunner 165, 255, 265, 955 og 965 samt Fenix 7 og 8, har været ramt af denne underlige boot loop-virus. Det er præcis ligesom når man prøver at tage et skud med sin Instinct 3 og pludselig mister alt fokus, fordi uret bare nægter at arbejde. Garmin er midt i at adresserer dette problem og opfordres brugerne til at holde sig opdaterede.

Og det bliver ikke bedre. Garmin har sat et hold på opgaven, men lige nu er det som at lede efter en nål i en høstak. Der er rapporter om, at mere end blot et par enheder er ramt af denne irriterende bug, hvilket har fået mange til at kaste deres arm op i frustration – skjulte muligheder er blevet forvandlet til et kæmpe 'no go'. Det er som at have en smartwatch, der kun kan vise et billede af en blå trekant, og det er bare ikke ligefrem, hvad man drømte om.

Så hvad kan du egentlig gøre i mellemtiden? Det bedste råd er at tjekke Garnins officielle opdateringer og måske tage en pause fra GPS-funktionerne, indtil de finder en løsning på uheldet. Som gadget-elskere ved, at teknologi godt kan være en kæde, som man bare ikke kan bryde i øjeblikke som dette, men det er noget, vi nemt kan grine af i fremtiden, når det hele er løst. Hold øje med dit ur, folkens, og husk, at nogle gange er det godt at lade uret pause ligesom os selv.
