Det kinesiske nytår 2025, også kendt som Lunar New Year, falder den 29. januar og markerer begyndelsen af Slangens år. For mange er det en tid fyldt med traditioner, festligheder og genforening med familien. Gaderne vil være fyldt med farverige drager, lyspunkter og forskellige dekorationer i rødt – som symboliserer lykke og velstand. So... hvad venter vi os endnu?

Fejringen varer i 15 dage og byder på storslåede fester med lunt mad og festlige aktiviteter som lanternefestivaler og storslåede fyrværkerier. Mange familier følger traditionen med at rengøre deres hjem for at fjerne uheld og gøre plads til held. En af de mest populære skikke er at give røde konvolutter fyldt med penge til børnene – en gestus for at bringe lykke og velstand i det kommende år. Her gælder det om at give, så man kan modtage!

I 2025 er det Slangen, der står i fokus. Slangen er det sjette dyr i den kinesiske dyrekreds og symboliserer klogskab, transformation og mystik. Især i dette år, der er præget af elementerne træ, vil mange føle en øget forbindelse til deres åndelige side. Det er en perfekt tid for indre forandringer og nye begyndelser. Kinesisk nytår er ikke kun en festdag i Kina, men fejres også af mange i Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau og andre steder i verden med stærke kinesiske fællesskaber. Det er en global fest med den samme kærkomne ånd, hvor familiebånd styrkes og traditioner videreføres. Her i Danmark kan du også være med til at dele din begejstring og måske endda finde lokale festligheder, hvor du kan fejre med asiatiske venner!

Vidste du, at kinesisk nytår ofte omtales som "foråret festival"? Det markerer ikke kun starten på et nyt år, men er også en fejring af forårets komme! Og hvis du tænker, at Slangen ikke er så skræmmende, så tænk lige over, at det danske ord for "snake" kan oversættes til "slang" - noget der ofte beskrives som snedigt og spøjst!
