I 2025 blev Davos igen rammen om de vigtigste diskussioner omkring verdensøkonomien, men i år blev det hele spillet om Trump – ja, den tidligere præsident er tilbage med sit cremen ‘America First ’ budskab, som fik elite medlemmerne til at nikke nervøst. Mens Trump via video talte om handelsaftaler og tallene for lavere oliepriser, sad de europæiske ledere tilbage med en grundlæggende frygt for, hvordan deres økonomier ville klare sig i hans skygge. Tariffer og handelsaftaler har nu skabt en kløft, der er svær at lukke, og de europæiske ledere spekulerede på, hvordan de kunne nærme sig den amerikanske økonomi.

Davos er traditionelt kendt for dens optimisme og fremadskuende visioner, men i år var der et skift. Ifølge mange deltagere var der en fornemmelse af en 'konstruktiv optimisme', som opstod efter en uge med indsigtsfulde diskussioner blandt erhvervslivet og verdensledere om, hvordan man skal navigere i den nuværende situation. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink tog ordet og forsøgte at berolige dem med beskeden om, at økonomien er større end enhver politisk dagsorden, og at der stadig er lys for enden af tunnelen.

Samtidig med at Trump bragte sin kontroversielle retorik til Davos, blev omkring 8 måder til at styrke den globale handel diskuteret. Emnerne strakte sig fra omstrukturering af handelsaftaler til bæredygtige fremtider og nye alliancer. Deltagerne indså, at det er tid til at opdatere tænkemåderne for at imødekomme de udfordringer, som globaliseringen bringer, og mange tog disse idéer med hjem i håbet om en bedre fremtid.

Afslutningsvis forsikrede IAEA's direktør os om, at atomenergi vil spille en nøglerolle i den globale energiomstilling. At investere i grøn energi blev en del af samtalerne, og det ser ud til, at man vil forene interesserne i en bæredygtig fremtid. Med Trump tilbage på scenen og Davos som epicenter for økonomisk diskussion, er det sikkert, at vi kun lige har set begyndelsen på dette drama, der vil forme vores økonomiske landskab.

Vidste du, at Davos også holder prisuddelinger hver år? I 2025 blev det bemærket, at borgerne vil have handling, forståelse og resultater fra deres politikere. Desuden blev det diskuteret, at Latinamerika ser en mildt stigende økonomisk tidevand, mens Europa står over for hårde tider. Mødet i Davos 2025 efterlod vi med en blanding af bekymring og håb – kun tiden vil vise, hvad der kommer næste gang!
