I nat blev en mand i Laurel anholdt efter en skræmmende hændelse, hvor flere skud blev affyret mod en parkeret bil nær Long Branch Tavern. Ifølge Franklin County Sheriff's Office skete det omkring kl. 1:00, da adskillige skud ramte bilen, men heldigvis blev ingen såret under angrebet. Myndighederne har nu iværksat en grundig efterforskning for at finde ud af, hvad der ledte til denne chokerende hændelse i det ellers fredelige Laurel.
Samtidig er der også gode nyheder fra Laurel! Syv studentatleter fra Mount Laurel, NJ, har skilt sig ud i efterårs college sportsæsonen. De unge talenter har præsteret strålende ved universiteter som Kean, Rutgers, Rowan og Montclair, og deres bedrifter har inspireret både lærere og medstuderende. Det er fantastisk at se, hvordan lokal ungdomskinfolk former fremtiden og holder sig aktive gennem sport.
