I Malaga, den solsikre perle på Costa del Sol, er det ikke kun solstrålerne der vælter ind - regnen er også begyndt at tage overhånd! Mens indbyggerne står over for vandmasserne, er de også blevet opmuntret af tilstedeværelsen af det rumænske tennislandshold, der skal deltage i Billie Jean King Cup. Selvom det er deres første finale, drømmer de stort og nægter at lade dårligt vejr fog ødelægge den festlige stemning. Samtidig ser det ud til, at mange malagueros har fundet tid til at hjælpe naboerne med at løsne vandet fra deres hjem, mens der er indgået ikke så få venskaber ud af disse vandfyldte uheld.
Kraftige regn byger og meldinger om oversvømmelser er bestemt sene påmindelser om naturens uforudsigelighed. De gamle riviers og smukke gader i Malaga har ikke set så vildt et vejr siden de grumme oversvømmelser i Valencia, der kostede mange mennesker livet for bare et par uger siden. Alle venter på, at stormen DANA giver sig, så de kan få hverdagen tilbage og solbade på stranden igen.
Men det er ikke kun vejrforholdene, der tæller! Malaga har også set en stigning i etablerede virksomheder og iværksættere. Faktisk er antallet af nye virksomheder steget med næsten 600 siden sidste år. Det er næsten spøgelsesagtigt, hvordan virksomheder kan blomstre, selv når naturen både giver og tager. Dermed minder Malaga os om, at selv ironien under dårligt vejr ikke kan tage modet fra de skabende sjæle, der fortsætter med at drive denne by fremad.
