I en recent interview delte Andrew Garfield nogle sjove og lidt pinlige detaljer om indspilningen af en sexscene med Florence Pugh i filmen 'We Live in Time'. Ifølge Garfield blev det hele så intenst, at han og Pugh ikke engang hørte instruktøren råbe "cut!". "Det var en af de scener, hvor vi ligesom blev opslugt af momentet, og pludselig glemte vi alt om tidens gang. Det blev en smule vildere, end vi havde planlagt!" sagde Garfield med et grin.

Filmen, instrueret af John Crowley, følger historien om en kærlighedsrelation mellem Garfields karakter Tobias Durand og Pughs Almut Brühl, der er en talentfuld kok og en nylig fraskilt kvinde. Fortællingen udfordrer det konventionelle ved at hoppe frem og tilbage i tidens forløb, når de to karakterer navigerer gennem både nærtstående øjeblikke og de dybe skår af fortiden. Garfield og Pugh har tydeligvis stor kemi og blev hurtigt tættere i løbet af filmoptagelserne.

“Vi var på bølgelængde med hinanden, og det var en ren fornøjelse at arbejde sammen,” fortsatte Garfield. Det er tydeligt, at deres samarbejde førte til en dybere forbindelse, som også kommer til udtryk i deres skuespil. I en branche hvor nærhed kan være en udfordring, understreger det kun den tillid, de formåede at udvikle under optagelserne.

Selvom der var et par akavede øjeblikke, da de glemte at afslutte scenen, griner Andrew Garfield nu af situationen. "Det kom helt bag på os, men det viste bare, hvor engagerede vi var i vores roller," sagde han. For både Garfield og Pugh, der har arbejdet hårdt for at opnå anerkendelse i branchen, ser det ud til, at denne erfaring blot har styrket deres bånd.
