I de seneste dage har spændingerne mellem Israel og Iran nået et alarmerende niveau, hvor Iran angiveligt forbereder et missilangreb mod Israel. Den israelske militæroperatør har igangsat en offensiv i det sydlige Libanon, designet til at ramme den Iran-støttede militantgruppe Hezbollah. Mens israelske soldater udfører “begrænsede indtrængninger” over grænsen, sover ingen trygt forud for en potentiel regional konflikt, der virker mere nærliggende end nogensinde.

Iran, kendt for sin aggressive udenrigspolitik, har ikke været stille i denne konflikt. Tirsdag meddelte Israels forsvarsstyrker, at de havde registreret et betydeligt antal missilangreb fra Iran, hvilket resulterede i sirener, der rungede over hele landet.
