Intel cutter 15% af arbejdsstyrken og stopper dividenden! Hvad sker der for chipgiganten?
Trods en gang om året med frygtelige resultater har Intel gjort sit bedste for at vise, at de stadig kan være en spiller på chipmarkedet. Men torsdag ramte de en kæmpe skuffelse med det næstsvageste kvartal i lang tid. Med en nedgang i aktierne på over 10%, efter at de åbenbarede en større end forventet tab og en neddrosling i dividenten, begynder mange at spørge – hvad går der lige galt? CEO Pat Gelsinger måtte indrømme, at han havde misudnyttet den nuværende boom, som virksomheder som Nvidia har draget fordel af.
I et forsøg på at genoplive virksomheden, har Intel annonceret en plan om at skære 15% af sin arbejdsstyrke, hvilket svarer til omkring 17.500 medarbejdere.
