Det kan dog også blive en udfordrende start for de olympiske drømme, da vejret og tekniske problemer skaber bølger i det ioniske Paris.
Den 26. juli 2024 bliver en dag for historiebøgerne, da Frankrigs præsident Macron står klar til at erklære legene åbne. Mens Celine Dion og Lady Gaga nærmer sig scenen for at underholde, vil sikkerheden være strammet op, især efter et formodet sabotageangreb på det nationale højhastighedstognet, som skabte rejseproblemer for mange tilskuere og atleter.
