I en tragisk ulykke har Malawis vicepræsident, Saulos Chilima, mistet livet i en flyulykke sammen med ni andre passagerer. Presidenten Lazarus Chakwera bekræftede den sørgelige nyhed efter militærflyets vrag blev lokaliseret i et bjergområde i landets nordlige del efter mere end en dags undersøgelse. Chilima, der har været vicepræsident siden 2014, efterlader sig to børn og en ægtefælle.
