Rafael Nadal har sagt farvel til Madrid Open på en følelsesladet måde. Efter en række skadesproblemer har den 22-dobbelte grand slam-singlermester kæmpet for at genfinde sin form i år. Trods et nederlag mod Jiri Lehecka, hvor han spillede sin sandsynligvis sidste kamp i Madrid Open, planlægger Nadal at deltage i Rom-turneringen.
