Storbritannien har vedtaget en kontroversiel lov, der tillader regeringen at deportere asylansøgere til Rwanda, hvor deres krav vil blive overvejet. Premierminister Rishi Sunak har annonceret, at deportationerne vil begynde om 10-12 uger. Mange menneskerettighedsgrupper fordømmer planen og siger, at det er umenneskeligt at sende asylansøgere til Rwanda. Til trods for godkendelsen af loven, er der stadig flere retslige udfordringer, der skal løses, før deportationerne kan begynde. Politiske spændinger over indvandring fylder stadig overskrifter verden over, og Storbritanniens plan om at sende asylansøgere til Østafrika har skabt stor diskussion og kritik.
