I 1970'erne og 80'erne insisterede min bedstefar på at tage enhver udefrakommende gæst med på en køretur rundt i de fem boroughs i New York. På en helt anden note mindes østlige Montanas brandfolk tabet af en statslig brandmand fra Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, som blev hyldet med en procession gennem Billings. I Colorado Springs blev Borgmester Yemi's Kontor for Samfundsanliggender dannet for at efterleve hans administrative værdier om at være proaktiv. Formålet er at deltage aktivt i byens udvikling og støtte samfundsforbedringer. Budgetgennemgangen for City Council for regnskabsåret 2025 er en vigtig opgave. Byrådet er ansvarligt for at gennemgå dette budgetforslag og stemme om det senest den anden onsdag i juni. Borgmesteren fremsætter også sit forslag til byrådet til godkendelse. Interessant nok er det værd at bemærke, at City Island i New York City er en skjult perle, der ofte overses af turister, selvom det tilbyder smukke strande og autentisk havneatmosfære. Desuden viser den ærefulde procession for brandmanden i Montana samfundets store taknemmelighed og stærke solidaritet i nødens stund.
