En ny AI-startup har lanceret Devin, en autonom AI-agent, der kan planlægge og udføre komplekse softwaretekniske opgaver. Devin kommer med avancerede evner inden for softwareudvikling, herunder kodning, fejlfinding, problemopløsning osv. Den adskiller sig fra eksisterende kodningsassistenter ved at have evnen til at håndtere hele udviklingsprojekter fra start til slut, herunder skrivning af kode og fejlretning. Devin har også evnen til aktivt at samarbejde med brugere under softwareudvikling, herunder at give realtidsopdateringer om fremskridt og acceptere feedback.

Den amerikanske start-up Cognition har lanceret det, de kalder verdens første AI-softwareingeniør. Med Devin kan ingeniører fokusere på mere interessante problemer, og ingeniørteams kan stræbe efter mere ambitiøse mål, siger virksomheden. Cognition AI har udviklet en chatbot, der bruger generativ AI til softwareudvikling. Dette i sig selv er ikke særlig interessant.
