Skuespilleren Christian Oliver og hans to unge døtre er tragisk omkommet i en flyulykke, der fandt sted i det caribiske hav. Christian Oliver, 51 år, bedst kendt for sin rolle i 'The Baby-Sitters Club' og 'Speed Racer', var ombord på flyet sammen med sine døtre på 10 og 12 år samt en anden passager, da ulykken skete. Flyet styrtede ned nær en caribisk ø og alle om bord mistede livet. Den pludselige og sørgelige nyhed har rystet Hollywood og fans over hele verden.

Efterfølgende undersøgelser har vist, at ulykken skete i nærheden af Petit Nevis-øen og skyldtes angiveligt en mekanisk fejl.
