Chelsea are preparing to hold talks with Luis Enrique, who is vying with Julian Nagelsmann for the vacant manager's job.

Liverpool, which ran Manchester City so close for the title last season, is in eighth place and seven points off fourth-place Tottenham. It’s a credit to them.” Indeed, there was something very familiar about the teams serving up a goalless draw. The fight to avoid the drop remains too close to call, though, with five points separating Crystal Palace in 12th and Leicester in 19th. A 2-1 defeat at home to Aston Villa dropped Leicester into next-to-last place and means the team has lost six of its last seven league games, drawing the other one. Another 0-0 stalemate between Chelsea and Liverpool.

Report: Former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann in talks ... (Bavarian Football Works)

It has been a while since Bayern Munich sacked their former manager Julian Nagelsmann, in favour of former Chelsea FC manager Thomas Tuchel.

As fate had it, a sudden news leak forced the board to come clean and put forth the formal news of his sacking. The contract of five years with the fee of €25 million made one thing very clear — the club believed in his vision enough to entrust a massive, long-term project in his hands. It was sudden and unexpected, for both the fans and an unsuspected Nagelsmann who was enjoying a quiet ski vacation. The Rekordmeister certainly aren’t the kind to throw money around for anyone, but they wanted Nagelsmann and came in ready with a huge amount. Chelsea are currently managed by interim manager Bruno Saltor, who took over after Graham Potter’s sacking. Though it has been lesser than two weeks since the sacking was announced, it feels a lot longer than that because of simply how much has transpired.
