Inside, the Revuelto continues with the Y-shaped theme with an all-new dashboard. Other styling elements include a large diffuser at the rear, high-mounted hexagonal-shaped exhaust tips, large 20-inch alloys up front and 21-inch wheels at the rear and a large rear wing, which can be set in three different configurations. Like its predecessors, the new flagship supercar is powered by a V12 engine and carries forward the sharp and edgy design theme. The supercar also has a 3.8 kWh battery pack housed within the transmission tunnel, which offers an EV-only range of 6 miles (10 km). The hybrid powertrain is paired with a new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This helps the supercar reduce weight while improving its torsional stiffness.
Lamborghini has revealed the successor to the Aventador, the Lamborghini Revuelto and the car is a V12 hybrid that has 1015 CV or 1000 horsepower, the car.
It is a unique and innovative car but at the same time faithful to our DNA: the V12 is an iconic symbol of our super sports heritage and history. The extensive use of carbon fiber and lightweight materials, combined with the potent engine power, contributes to achieving the best weight-to-power ratio in the history of Lamborghini: 1.75 kg/CV. The car has a total of 13 different driving models and there is also an all-wheel fully electric mode.

Volkswagen Group (XETRA:VOW)'s supercar subsidiary Lamborghini has announced the world's first 12-cylinder hybrid super sports car, the Lamborghini Revuelto ...
For anyone with a spare half a million dollars to burn, you might need to take out a small loan- the Lamborghini Revuelto ships later this year for $542,000. But the Lambo’s all-electric mode comes with a caveat- a full charge of the 3.8 kWh battery will take you just over six miles- enough for a whip around town maybe, but a carbon-conscious tour de Italy is certainly out of the question. Endgadget calls it “a Lamborghini through and through”, with the 814 horsepower, 12-cylinder engine chugging along at a blistering 9,250 rpm.

The Revuelto comes with as many as 13 driving modes, one of which, called Cittá, quiets it down completely and allows you to drive through a historic city center with zero emissions (only for a few minutes, though). The hybrid part of the Revuelto does make sense from a Lamborghini fan's standpoint. It roars and rumbles when you press it a little; it absolutely screams when you rev it up anywhere near its limit which, for the Revuelto, is an absolutely nutty 9,500rpm. Probably not, but again, the Revuelto is not the type of car you buy because it's the best choice for your daily commute and your IKEA trips. While I didn't get to drive the Revuelto, I saw it move a little on Lamborghini's stage, and I heard it roar, and reader, I can attest that it's still the good, old, extremely over-the-top sound you expect from a Lambo. The Revuelto is the spiritual successor of the Aventador, as it is also powered by a V12, 6.5 litre engine.

Seats are clad in a combination of fine leathers and “Corsa-Tex” microfiber made of recycled polyester. The 217-mph-plus top speed is nothing to scoff at either, even if it isn’t an improvement over the Aventador’s. Massive side fins the channel airflow across the doors and into the side intakes. The Lamborghini Revuelto is a hybrid—not the marque’s first, as Lamborghini has previously installed electric motors on Aventador-based special editions like 2019’s Max performance is elite but not superlative. There are decidedly contemporary elements, such as Y-shaped headlights framed by aerodynamic blades that link the splitter to the hood.

This puts it in a position to cut its official CO2 tailpipe emissions in half by the beginning of 2025. It also remains on track to electrify by the end of next year its other two vehicles, the smaller Huracan coupe and Urus SUV. The flagship 12-cylinder coupes that shape the brand’s image are even more exclusive and tend to spend most of their lives parked in wealthy car collectors’ garages. Gasoline can be synthesized artificially by splitting water molecules into its constituent elements using green energy. The new driving mode enable a quick CO2-free spin around populated high streets to soak up the envious stares. By combining the hydrogen and oxygen with carbon captured from ambient air, methyl alcohol can be produced and then treated in further process steps to adapt it for use in cars. Even though Aventadors are typically only taken out on weekend joyrides, it’s difficult to wow onlookers if you’re not allowed to drive downtown in the first place. Two more electric motors power each of the car's front wheels, providing all-wheel-drive. In the Revuelto, the engine points towards the back to make room for battery packs. Front-wheel-drive low-speed cruising will be fully electric, while high-powered aggressive track driving will employ all available power from the V12 engine and the electric motors. From there, engine power was rerouted through spinning driveshafts to the back wheels or, in many newer models, to all four wheels. The Lamborghini Revuelto is a plug-in hybrid and, while it still has a V12 gasoline engine, it also has three electric motors. The car, whose price is as yet undisclosed, will offer driving sensations ranging from loud and viciously punchy to smooth and silent.

The Urraco was powered by a transversely mounted V8 with an alloy block and heads. Its styling was far more modern than that of either the Porsche 911 or the Dino 246 GT, and orders began to roll in. The P111 and P200 were also offered during this time though in far smaller numbers. The Urraco used MacPherson strut suspension on all four corners with anti-roll bars front and back, and as you might expect the car was fitted with disc brakes at all four wheels. The Lamborghini Urraco was designed by Marcello Gandini as an answer to the Ferrari Dino and the Porsche 911. Gandini is the man responsible for some of the most iconic designs of the period including the Lamborghini Miura and the Countach, not to mention the Lancia Stratos, Alfa Romeo Montreal, Fiat X1/9, and countless others. Ferruccio Lamborghini had originally hoped to sell 1,000 Urracos per year however this wasn’t to be. - Over its production run, the Urraco saw several revisions to cater to different markets and regulatory environments. It required considerable expense but Ferruccio Lamborghini believed they could eventually sell 1,000 of these new cars per year, vastly more than the ~100-200 supercars they had been manufacturing previously. Maserati would later be similarly inspired, releasing the mid-engined 2+2 [Maserati Merak](https://silodrome.com/maserati-merak-ss-project-car/) in 1972. Whereas the Ferrari Dino has gone on to become a six figure car the Urraco is still typically valued in the $60,000 – $80,000+ USD range. - Ferruccio brought together two of the Italian automotive industry’s most renowned talents to develop the Urraco.

Despite significant media attention on the effort, there is a near vertical climb ahead of them to find the funding required with the team behind the project hoping to net a major sponsor – known to DSC. A fix is en route for the next round to a continuing electronic gearbox actuator issue (a hydraulic system will replace it). The engine has been in bench and dyno-testing for some time but Alpine has, as yet, released no details. Silence since then, coupled with current problems for the brand’s F1 team, likely means that a programme from Mclaren is further delayed. You might argue that no Lamborghini since the Countach has had the effect it had. Lamborghini is replacing the Aventador with a 1000-horsepower hybrid-electric beast.
This is made possible by the drivetrain reconfiguration which includes using a transverse gearbox that is less of an obstruction to the diffuser. This is a challenge for mid-engine cars, which tend to have the front wheel wells intruding into the cabin’s footwell so that added space will be a welcome improvement. The wing is abetted by a diffuser beneath the rear of the car which has a steeper ramp for increased downforce. This section is built on a pair of hollow castings that attach the rear suspension and engine mounts, with aluminum tubes connecting them to each other and the carbon fiber monofueselage. A key design feature in the Revuelto’s design is the complete exposure of its centerpiece V12 combustion engine, which is left uncovered rather than hidden by bodywork or even showcased beneath a window. This is because the increasing capability of Lamborghini’s cars has led to a corresponding interest in taking them to track days where they can be exercised safely.
The latest model features an aspirated V12 engine and three electric motors with a total of 1001 horsepower.
With a unique and bold exterior design and a spacious and technologically advanced cabin, the Revuelto is a step forward for Lamborghini as it embarks on a new era of electrification. “It is a unique and innovative car but at the same time faithful to our DNA: the V12 is an iconic symbol of our super sports heritage and history.
