You can do this by using a Pokémon which is guaranteed to defeat this first Pokémon, which will always be the same, and, once you know what they’re second choice is, you can plan accordingly. A Pokemon Go player has encountered a glitch that puts their Primal Groudon Buddy in an unfortunate situation, giving them a cone of shame.

The image amused Pokemon Go fans, filling the comments with sympathy for the Buddy and questions about how the “trip” went. Hopefully, the Groudon and its trainer don’t continue getting stuck in PokeStops during future adventures. The post reads, “Got him fixed today, had to put a cone on him to keep him from chewing at the stitches.”
