Five points off fourth-placed Northampton with a game in hand, Exeter are nicely set to make a late push for the play-offs with the likes of Stuart Hogg and Henry Slade back from Six Nations duties. Rock-bottom Bath will be looking to end another disappointing season on a high as they welcome Exeter to The Rec in their penultimate home game of the season. A shock 62-8 defeat at Bristol in Round 19 provided a welcome reality check but Phil Dowson's men are back on track and well placed to reach the last four ahead of their trip to the capital. Jake Humphrey always wants to inspire the next generation to reach high and achieve their goals, but not everybody appreciates the BT Sport pundit's words ...
It's hard to argue this formula hasn't worked for Humphrey, as he has carved himself a very significant place in the media and broadcasting world. We all know the only goal in life is to have fun and, if possible, outlive your enemies. However, a very lengthy post talking about what he refers to as ‘world class basics’ has struck many wrong chords in the social media world. “I genuinely don't know what the end goal is for someone like Jake Humphrey. And in and amongst the criticisms, questions, and ironic pieces of life advice being passed by people slating Humphrey for doing just that, one person simply wrote, “Jake Humphrey really is a spanner isn’t he?” The broadcaster is never afraid to pass on some wisdom and advice to other people aspiring to get to the top of their industry.
