So Bad, It's Good: Even the Director of "Lake Michigan Monster ... (thegame730am.com)

This movie is insane, absurd, and possibly one of the best things I've seen in a long time.

"I was sitting on Wine Rock, along the shores of Lake Michigan, listening to pirate metal with Erick West (Sean Shaughnessy in the film). "In its purest form, Lake Michigan Monster is a comedy. The Black and White film is truly ridiculous. the Lake Michigan Monster." REALLY good, and lots of fun. So imagine how happy I was, when I found this 2018 gem of a movie on Prime the other day.

'Absurd': some Australian jobseekers get a month's reprieve from ... (The Guardian)

Anomaly in dates of suspension means individuals whose reporting date falls after 2 January treated different to others.

“Both services will operate on 28, 29 and 30 December 2022. One jobseeker in the disability employment services (Des) program told Guardian Australia he understood he would still be required to complete his 12 job searches a month. “To break down how absurd this is: if welfare recipients are due to report on the 2nd of January next year, they receive a one-month suspension to their mutual obligations deadline,” the statement said. “However, if they are due to report on the 3rd of January, they get no break, and all their obligations are due that day, directly after the holiday and new year period.” According to the union, it meant some people would have six weeks off mutual obligations while others would get “nothing”. The AUWU said in a statement jobseekers would have different requirements by “sheer luck of the draw”.

Extremists like the heavily armed military cosplayers who showed up to intimidate the “Holi-drag Storytime” are becoming normalized, Neil Elliott writes.

New Jersey wedding venue's 'absurd' goth makeover has couples ... (New York Post)

The Madison Hotel in Morristown, New Jersey is receiving blowback from booked-in brides-to-be after swapping a classic, gold-hued look for a more modern, ...

They could have let us know in enough time that I could have changed the colors of my wedding, but they didn’t.” The majority of people we’ve shown the design, including people who are having events in the future, are hugely positive,” said Kline, “We bought this hotel in June from a family who built it and owned it for multiple generations.” “We have been in contact with the managers the whole time. I feel for all the brides that are already booked.” and loved the aesthetic when we saw it in person. The Madison Hotel in Morristown has long charmed locals with its enchanting gold and beige-hued ballroom, resplendent with shimmering chandeliers.
