Jeopardy! Champion Amy Schneider Interview: Trans Rights ... (TeenVogue.com)

The recent Tournament of Champions winner shared why she feels optimistic about trans rights in a Q&A with Teen Vogue.

Is Phil Kessel's ironman streak in jeopardy with Golden Knights? (The Athletic)

Kessel played only four shifts in the last half of the Golden Knights' loss to Buffalo on Monday.

Over the last 12 games he’s been on the ice for only three goals for, and 13 against. It was the last shift Kessel played with the top line, and he played only 1:25 in the last 32:45 from that point. Unlike most in the bottom six, Kessel does have a role on the power play, although he has yet to score a power-play goal this season and has only four assists (tied for the fewest points of any regular on the unit). Kessel brings a great veteran presence to the Golden Knights. That’s where Kessel has played the vast majority of the season, but Right now — missing three forwards in Eichel, Howden and Cotter — it seems relatively unlikely that Cassidy would scratch Kessel from the lineup. Cassidy seems to prefer an energy line that checks and can play in all situations. “I think that’s where I can’t say enough about Jack (Eichel) and his commitment to (playing a 200-foot game),” Cassidy said. Thompson shielded Kessel from the puck with his body, then fired the shot right past him to give the Sabres a 2-0 lead. We might get a mismatch on an icing, where we want a certain faceoff situation in the O-zone, but in general they’re going to play against good players. “Our left winger didn’t handle the puck clean,” he said. Plus-minus isn’t always the best indicator for overall play, but Kessel’s team-worst minus-9 is telling considering he’s mostly played in favorable situations.
