Thirteen of 14 people with available statuses were hospitalized and one person suffered a miscarriage as a result of the infection. The ages of those who became sick ranged from 38 to 92, with a median age of 72. There were seven infections in New York, three in Maryland (one of whom died), one in New Jersey, two in Massachusetts, two in Illinois and one in California from April 2021 to September 2022.
