Game of Thrones leaks seem to be a breach in HBO's hull that the American television producer has no intention of mending anytime soon. Now, mere days before ...
Walk the endless walls of social media platforms carefully for the next two days. Well, we may not be able to watch the episode in full for a couple of days yet, but folks who have want you to know that it was one of the show’s best outings to date, if not the best. [House of the Dragon](https://wegotthiscovered.com/tag/house-of-the-dragon) episode in season one was supposed to air on Sunday night at 9 pm ET, but it seems that someone has leaked the finale on torrent networks, and now Twitter is slowly but surely turning into a spoiler-y cesspit.
Rhaenys had made her support for Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) and her claim to the Iron Throne clear, and the supporters of Aegon (the Greens) had confined ...
As Rhaenyra remarked clearly in the opening monologue, The Old King knew "the only thing that could tear down the House of the Dragon was itself." Alternatively, Alicent goes out of her way to retrieve Aegon before his coronation, resolving to handle the succession in a diplomatic way with the Blacks. One needs only to look back at previous episodes and the events that have unfolded to see why the Lady of Driftmark might pull back from outright torching her opposition. Though the history of the Seven Kingdoms is fraught with it regardless, taking the life of a family member is a grave offense in the eyes of both the nobility and the smallfolk. With the king gone, who is Rhaenys to take the lives of his wife and children? Sapochnik and Condal have provided the face-value assessment, but if we examine what has transpired for Rhaenys over the course of Season 1, her refusal to kill the Greens appears much more justified. It's why we see the king banish his brother Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) time and time again for his scandalous actions as opposed to having him executed on the spot. While the likes of Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans) or Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel) likely wouldn't have bothered her much, the thought of murdering Alicent and her children by Viserys likely stayed her hand as she herself is a mother and could likely imagine the grief caused. It's certainly a decision that many fans and watchers have disputed since Episode 9's airing, but it may be necessary to dig a bit deeper into Rhaenys' character to determine why she made the decision she did in this iconic moment. Rhaenys had made her support for Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) and her claim to the Iron Throne clear, and the supporters of Aegon (the Greens) had confined her to keep her from opposing his ascent as king after the death of her cousin, King Viserys (Paddy Considine). [Episode 9](https://collider.com/house-of-the-dragon-season-1-episode-9-recap-the-green-council/) of [House of the Dragon](https://collider.com/tag/house-of-the-dragon/) had plenty of excitement taking place, but no event may have been more substantial than Aegon II Targaryen's (Tom Glynn-Carney) coronation. Rhaenys (Eve Best) escapes her confinement in the Red Keep thanks to the exploits of [Kingsguard knight Ser Erryk Cargyll](https://collider.com/house-of-the-dragon-who-are-ser-arryk-and-ser-erryk-cargyll/) (Elliott Tittensor), making her way to the bowels of the Dragon Pit's dungeons to retrieve her dragon Meleys, the Red Queen.
Which dragon is Daemon singing to in the 'House of the Dragon' Season 1 finale trailer? One popular fan theory suggests it's a terrifying dragon known only ...
The Dance, after all, is a conflict where the Targaryens and their dragons begin to slaughter each other. Therefore, should Daemon seek out the creature in Episode 10, it seems safe to assume that nothing major will come from their interaction. Two were known as Sheepstealer and the Grey Ghost, while the third was dubbed The Cannibal due to its habit of eating dead and newborn dragons, as well as dragon eggs. The Cannibal was a black dragon with green eyes. While there are several canonical dragons it could be, some fans believe they’ve already determined the identity of the terrifying reptile. And as fans of Fire & Blood, the 2018 novel that inspired
[There are obviously spoilers ahead. If you don't want to be spoiled, you should, IDK, leave this post!!] Lucerys Targaryen (Likely). Yeah, this is going to ...
Based on the last episode, my guess is Otto is there to deliver the terms to Rhaenyra and co. Lucerys's body and the body of his dragon wash up on shore a few days later. Yeah, this is going to be the big one. The show could make a departure from the book and decide Otto's time as Hand of the King is really, truly over. So here's what happens: Lucerys and Aemond are both sent to Storm's End to try to shore up an alliance with the Baratheons (ever heard of 'em?). So Borros Baratheon tells them to take their conflict elsewhere, they both get on their dragons, and the dragons fight each other over Shipbreaker's Bay.
The hunt for the wayward King Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney) at an underground child fight ring (eek) was thrilling on its surface. How exciting not to be mired in ...

Alicent or Rhaenyra? Daemon or Aemond? Let's see how the power players stack up as House Of The Dragon prepares to wrap up season 1.
12 / 12 Congratulations to Meleys and every other dragon on HOTD for giving the Targaryens a heady, if unhealthy, mix of confidence and cockiness. He’s not involved in the political scheming, likely doesn’t realize that his “demise” led to the coupling of Rhaenyra and Daemon, and probably doesn’t care about the consequences. [Insert gif of Jessica Walter saying “Good for her” from It seems that the passing years, along with Viserys’ death and his final family dinner, reminded Alicent there’s a way to rule without cruelty. House of the Dragon just delivered its most divisive scene so far. Here's why Rhaenys and Meleys' coronation entrance is so controversial.
This likely isn’t the last time that common people are going to pay the price for the Targaryen’s civil war, and it’s important to remember that they are still people too, even if their lives aren’t as dramatic and messy as those we follow on House of the Dragon. Even though this scene was empowering for Rhaenys and showed us an important side of her character, it also tells us that the royal family doesn’t actually care about the people they rule. It’s because she’s so intelligent and in the end chooses to do the right thing, which is not to destroy. As admittedly awesome as this scene was to watch live, the criticisms aren’t unfounded. What makes this scene in “The Green Council” so divisive, however, seems to be a blatant disregard for the lives of the common people of King’s Landing. Even though House of the Dragon can’t take too many liberties with regards to how the Dance of the Dragons plays out in [George R.R.

King Viserys reveals that, when heated in fire, the dagger contains a message from Aegon the Conqueror himself, which reads: “from my blood come the prince that ...
The vision of Rhaegar stared directly at Daenerys and said, "He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire." House of the Dragon is only the beginning. Another theory holds that the "Song of Ice and Fire" actually refers to a story. [the final season of Game of Thrones](https://gamerant.com/final-season-game-thrones-ruin-entire-show/), which many considered to be a highlight of the season. Game of Thrones ended without the Targaryens being the ones to end the Long Night, but there is one stark possibility for its inclusion: the The song is mentioned in House of the Dragon as Rhaenyra reads the inscription on the Valyrian dagger aloud, but there is no elucidation about what the song actually is. King Viserys reveals that, when heated in fire, the dagger contains a message from Aegon the Conqueror himself, which reads: “from my blood come the prince that was promised, and his will be the song of ice and fire." Indeed, in the books, a woods witch prophecizes that the Prince will come from the line of the Mad King Aerys and his Queen, Rhaella. Now that he has more creative control over at House of the Dragon, it seems that the show is more willing to dive into the magical aspects of the world of Westeros. While Daenerys and Jon Snow can be said to have united the realm against the threat as best they could, it was Arya who struck the final blow, ironically with the very dagger that prophecized the need for a Targaryen to accomplish this. Martin has previously stated that he had 'concerns' with the Game of Thrones production](https://gamerant.com/game-of-thrones-george-rr-martin-production-concerns/), revealing that he had little-to-no involvement with the later seasons of the show. There was a vague explanation given about wanting to kill the Three-Eyed Raven, ostensibly to erase a living repository of the world's memory, but little else was revealed about the more mystical aspects of the series.
The violent knight of the Kingsguard once served Rhaenyra, now Criston protects Alicent, but is there more to it than that in House of the Dragon?
It should be considered that because Criston is bound to his oath of chastity that he has developed other means by which to express his feelings for Alicent. Unhealthy and disconcerting as it may be, lashing out physically against all those who act against the Queen's desires may be another avenue by which he can show his true feelings for her. Soon after the murder Alicent turns to Criston to find Aegon, so he can be present to fulfill what Alicent perceives to be her late husband's wishes and fill the void as King. And 15 years later, he is in a similar position as he was then, only now his affections have turned in the direction of Alicent. It certainly begs the question if he is psychologically fit for his duty as the Queen's Sworn Protector. His outburst is met with a quick death at the swift hand of Ser Criston Cole (Fabian Frankel) who thrusts his head so forcefully into the table that he immediately succumbs to the blunt force trauma.

House of the Dragon is a mainstream hit for HBO, and a successful extension of the Game of Thrones franchise into a whole new era – literally and ...
It seems pretty clear that House of the Dragon Season 2 is being set up to primarily focus on the Dance of Dragons conflict – or at least the first half of it. He helmed some of the biggest and most pivotal battle episodes ("Battle of the Bastards", "The Long Night") and was instrumental in getting House of the Dragon off the ground. With House of the Dragon Season 1 reaching its end, Game of Thrones fans are wondering about what the future holds for the show. "We are beyond proud of what the entire HOUSE OF THE DRAGON team has accomplished with season one," said Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President, HBO Programming in a statement at the time. House of the Dragon Season 2 was announced very early on – maybe too early. The story of old House Targaryen (and the first cracks that led to its downfall) has been as gripping, entertaining, and shocking as the first Game of Thrones series – and we have not had to wait for the dragons to show up!
Every Friday, Ringer staffers who haven't read any of the 'Game of Thrones' books gather to answer one key question ahead of Sunday's 'House of the Dragon' ...
[Khal Davenport](https://www.theringer.com/authors/khal-davenport): My prediction for the House of the Dragon Season 1 finale mirrors my expectation for the entirety of Season 1: dragons and death. House of the Dragon is a Game of Thrones prequel; all bets can be off when it is season finale time. If HBO (and the HBO Max servers) could promise one thing, I hope it’s that the feed won’t die Sunday night, and that I will actually be able to see everything going on. Yeah yeah, this is a pretty generic one, but it’s also one that I think has to happen for the sake of the first season. HBO and House of the Dragon have teased us all season with the coming war—we need to see a little bit of it to really get us all excited for Season 2. Clearly, Season 2 will be all-out war, but House of the Dragon is going to give us a little teaser, a little taste of what is to come. After all, House of the Dragon is practically screaming at us to expect this outcome: Aemond would radiate pure evil even if he didn’t wear a badass eye patch. I want to see Rhaenyra look Alicent in the eye as she unleashes fire on all of the greens. The truth is I can’t read the clues and I have no idea, but I’m hopeful for an out-of-nowhere, gasp-inducing demise that sets in motion a serious cliffhanger for when we return to HotD for Season 2. I want to see Criston and Daemon come to blows on the battlefield. But since some of The Ringer’s staff have yet to read any of Martin’s novels, we decided to create this weekly precap for those of you who remain blissfully unaware of what’s about to happen next. Unlike the original series, which ran out of material to adapt by the end of its fifth season, key details from the Targaryen dynasty already have been published in Martin’s fictional history.
House of the Dragon does have, obviously, dragons and a little bit of magic—but it and Game of Thrones are not what I would consider hard fantasy. They're ...
Like House of the Dragon, it's about a dashing knight, a silly King, an evil Queen and a princess stuck in the middle... Toss a coin to the show that be-witcher-ed fans after the Game of Thrones series finale. The ABC series and spin-off of Once Upon A Time is decidedly cornier than House of the Dragon, however, don't you deserve a show with a happy ending? It has the scheming and fashion sense of House of the Dragon wtih about ten times the jokes. Another family that was as messy IRL as the Targaryens on House of the Dragon is the Medici family. House of the Dragon is set over a hundred years before Game of Thrones, and The Rings of Power is set over five thousand years before The Lord of the Rings. There's also a wild subplot about breeding communes that sounds like something out of Westeros, if not The Handmaid's Tale. I wonder who the Princess Diana of House of the Dragon will turn out to be... A) Matt Smith is in the first couple of seasons and B) it's about how Elizabeth II suddenly and unexpectedly found herself heir to the throne. This series, about the real-life Henry VIII and his six wives, is about the messiest people living (and dying) for the drama you will ever meet. If you've been feeling like you got that Game of Thrones feeling back with House of the Dragon, what are you going to do with your Sunday nights now that season 1 is almost over? For one thing, Rings of Power takes its time while House of the Dragon speeds through time.
The night is dark and full of speculation. In honor of the House of the Dragon season finale, here are our predictions for "The Black Queen"!

And I thought [“House of the Dragon”] was its own beast. Over the course of the season, because we’ve worked so closely together and developed a relationship with one another, we were able to be spontaneous in certain moments. I think the body of work that all the actors and filmmakers produced is undeniably fantastic. “Where are we in the past?” “Oh, I’ve got a new haircut? He is constantly in the middle of the rope. [“House of the Dragon”] is a huge global franchise, or so they tell me, but I just go to work in a studio in Watford and try to get the lines in the right order. And it reminds me a bit of that. But the pressure that came with “Doctor Who” is extraordinary.

At the very least, Helaena seems to be the least culpable in her family’s role in the Dance of Dragons so far, and we would like her to have nothing but peaceful alone time with her spiders and stitchery. Now that his surviving kin are engaged in a full-on war for the succession, there’s no chance everyone is making it out of this conflict alive — or even this season (“Fire & Blood” readers: Stay strong and watch the madness unfold.) It’s highly unlikely, but the former best friends did seem to reach some sort of understanding in Episode 8 — before Alicent misheard her husband’s dying words and the Greens decided to risk it all by putting Aegon on the Iron Throne. In anticipation of the Season 1 finale (and the long wait for Season 2), here are 10 burning questions we have leading up to Episode 10.
Oh God, it's everywhere,” Federal Judge Courtney Mayer said. “House of Dragons has made every Uncle Diddler out there think he's Matt motherfucking Smith.
“You’re an enemy of the state. As a result of the federal government declaring George R. “I just don’t see how HBO hasn’t shut it down solely based on that,” Mayer said. But the recent spikes in incest among certain communities has forced the federal government to step in. “Do you know how painful it is to admit that? One man actually said he was inspired by the chemistry between Daemon and Rhaenrya.”
