I would've much prefer Liv Tyler as Red Hulk or bring back Sam Elliott and revamp his Thunderbolt Ross to fit in the MCU. But that might exactly be the point in order to give the character more urgency than he had before. Fans feel that because Elliott has already played the role of Thaddeus Ross in Hulk (2003) and was admired for the same, he would be a much better candidate to replace William Hurt than Harrison Ford. But it would also be interesting to see how the Witness star fulfills this role on screen. However, fans seem to be more uncertain than intrigued about it. Harrison Ford is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in what might be one of the biggest casting coups for the franchise so far.

It will be seen as a major success for Marvel and Feige to recruit Ford to the franchise, which has lacked some A-list starpower since the departures of Robert Downey Jr. The role of Ross is not expected to be an overly physical one for Ford, who is now 80 years old.
