[Paul’s story of the meeting](https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/paul-mccartney-tells-the-story-of-the-time-bob-dylan-got-the-beatles-high.html/) varies in that Dylan quickly disappeared into another room to get high. In any event, the Fab Four eventually charted a new course and changed music history. But the two surviving Beatles agree that the band got high that night, and Ringo was the first one to try it. Dylan started his electric period soon after, and the Fab Four were on the path to revamping their approach. It was like, ‘OK, let’s go.’ We had a suite, we had a living room, and in the bedroom is where it was happening. Bob was in the room in the hotel when it was arranged that someone else would bring some stuff. And they both agree the band got high with him. During the production of the movie, Stanton and Dylan became quite the nuisance for Peckinpah in a truly unexpected way. Seeing a remarkable amount of action, Stanton no doubt used his time in the war to inform his later performances. Passing away in 2017, the legacy he leaves is an impressive one, becoming a sage of the silver screen in his 66 years in the industry.

25 Years Later: Revisiting Bob Dylan's Career Rewakener 'Time Out ... (Glide Magazine)

Bob Dylan suffered a serious health scare some four months prior to the release of Time Out Of Mind (released 9/30/97), one so serious that, in its.

Beginning with ‘Love And Theft,’ the arguably superior 2001 followup to this record, and continuing into the post-lockdown release of Rough And Rowdy Ways, Dylan has produced his records by himself under the nom de plume ‘Jack Frost’ (duly noted in the credits on this album). The critical and commercial accolades accorded the 1997 album were accompanied by additional acclaim in the form of three Grammy Awards (at the ceremony for which Dylan even offered an earnest performance). Still, the comparatively upbeat “Cold Irons Bound” suggests in no uncertain terms that this is a man who holds out hope by nature. As a result, the music accompanying him ultimately serves as cushion for the psychic impact of the inevitable epiphanies that come with such introspection. ‘Strolling through the graveyard of [his] mind,’ Dylan phrases his expression(s) in a guarded but ultimately candid manner. Yet Dylan wrote the songs the prior year in anticipation of recording with Daniel Lanois.

A Tribute to Bob Dylan is a benefit for the Town Hall, which kicked off its centennial celebrations last summer with a concert at Bryant Park in midtown Manhattan featuring Chris Thile. For the Town Hall, it is a major milestone of the hall’s turn to protest music and the folk revival of the ‘60s and ‘70s. “Town Hall has been the location of many fateful moments, and I’m grateful for the invitation to celebrate one of those historic evenings on the 60th anniversary of Bob Dylan’s first concert there,” said Burnett. During its construction, the 19th Amendment was passed; the Town Hall opened on January 12, 1921. According to the Town Hall, Dylan’s 1963 performance “marked an important milestone in both his career and the trajectory of the hall. It will also commemorate his 1963 debut at the Town Hall.
