Welcome back to Alfea, fairies. It has been quite a long time since we were last with the fairies of the Otherworld, and a lot has changed for Bloom ...
While the world still revolves around Bloom, the other Winx girls aren’t given their due, which is frankly disrespectful to the original series that took pride in showcasing the stories and strengths of all of the Winx girls. [after a much-critiqued second season](https://collider.com/the-wilds-season-2-review-prime-video/) that forgot what viewers loved about it in the first place. For all of its flaws, the first season of Fate: The Winx Saga told a compelling story that flowed well, followed a logical path, ended on a satisfying note, and relatively managed to balance the Winx girls while still centering on Bloom. Likewise, what we do see of Flora is great, and truthfully she is probably my favorite of the fairies by the end of the season. Bloom is the only one of the Winx girls that gets even a respectful amount of focus, which is rather frustrating at times considering the series is supposed to be about all of the Winx girls. It has been quite a long time since we were last with the fairies of the Otherworld, and a lot has changed for Bloom (Abigail Cowen), Stella (Hannah van der Westhuysen), Terra (Eliot Salt), Aisha (Precious Mustapha), and Musa (Elisha Applebaum) on Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2.

With season 2 now out in the world and this chapter of the Fate saga coming to an end, who knows what the future holds? By the end of season 2, we kind of blow the world wide open and find an entirely new location for us to play and visit.” “Some of the stunt-y scenes I’ve had to do have been a bit more challenging because they’re not things I’ve done before,” she says. “Over the course of the season, we started to expand the mythology and the world. “There were all those different elements in a scene that we had to shoot in 2 or 3 days on a set and then have green screen elements on top of that.” “The benefit of a season 2 show is it gives you the ability to sort of expand the things that made season 1 great. We’re not always together, and I think that’s gonna be really exciting to watch because I’ve not seen some of the things others have done.” “The other weekend, we lost a couple things when we were doing a photo shoot, but it’s probably because I was in charge.” Don’t worry. They have to fly and then, at the end of it, they use their magical powers to blast the villain, who also has a magical effect all over his body,” David adds. And—as revealed in the season 2 trailer—there’s an effects-related fan favorite returning in a big way: wings. “In season 2, we were able to go into it with clear eyes in terms of how big the show is and make sure that we’re prepared to hit all of those beats and moments. With major spoilers, we break down the significance of the season 2 finale for Fate: The Winx Saga's lore and for the future.
Sebastian wanted to resurrect the people of Aster Dell with a shadow from the Realm of Darkness. And she too wants to know who she is and where she comes from. When Sebastian uses Sky as leverage to get the Dragon Flame out of Bloom, Beatrix stops his heart, which distracts her, effectively disrupting the plan and halting the transfer of the Dragon Flame from Bloom to Sebastian. With their combined power, they make light work of Sebastian, killing the Blood Witch, and returning power to all the fairies his scrapers drained. He releases scrapers – ancient critters that violently attach themselves to fairies and drain them of their magic – to steal power and make himself strong enough to open a portal to the Realm of Darkness. [Last season](https://www.denofgeek.com/tv/fate-the-winx-saga-review/) we learned that Rosalind caused the destruction of Aster Dell, the Blood Witch settlement where both Bloom and Beatrix were found. This season, she continues her search for answers, and gets close to Rosalind in the process. Last season, she released Rosalind in part to learn the truth of her past. The Dragon Flame hadn’t been seen in a thousand years because Bloom was in stasis for a thousand years. While Alfea adapts to its new reality, Bloom and her friends look for ways to restore the Alfea they love, and stop the new threat. When a scraper takes her power, somewhat to her satisfaction, she focuses on fight training with Riven and the specialists. Aisha has her first boyfriend, first kiss, and first heartbreak with a Specialist named Gray, who turns out to be the enemy.

For Bloom it makes sense, Aisha is the voice of reason and everything she warned her about ended up happening, but the point is that Aisha cannot be her moral reference, she can be her friend and advise her but she cannot be responsible for all Bloom’s decisions.
Fate: The Winx Saga features a delightful subplot involving Terra, that completely re-writes her season 1 arc and fixes many of the show's flaws.
[end of Fate: The Winx Saga season 2](https://screenrant.com/fate-the-winx-saga-season-2-ending-explained/) sees Terra's transformation become literal; she and two of her friends, Aisha and Stella, transform into their Winx forms. Though Netflix has yet to renew or cancel the supernatural teen drama, the Season 2 Bloom cliffhanger leaves the door open for a third season.
Given that there seems to be about a year gap between the wrap and premiere dates, a third season could premiere in late 2023, pending a quick renewal and production start date. Season 3 will likely reveal who the woman is, especially if it is Bloom’s mom, should the show get renewed. In the final line of the season, [with this power](https://www.bustle.com/entertainment/bloom-powers-in-fate-the-winx-saga-will-be-familiar-to-winx-club-fans) inside me, and now I know,” she told Sky of her plan to “save the Otherworld” while saying an emotional goodbye. In one of Season 2’s final scenes, she [Season 2 introduced](https://www.bustle.com/entertainment/fate-the-winx-saga-season-2-renewed-canceled) new magic, new romance, and some new faces, as the students returned to Alfea, but things quickly went awry when fairies started to go missing in the night. While the first season largely focused on Bloom, Season 2 provided new opportunities for writer Vanessa Benton. “And so it was kind of important for us to give people like that a chance to have their moments with their character. Paulina Chávez is joining 'Fate: The Winx Saga' season 2 as the iconic Flora. Find out more about the 'Winx' actress and her character Flora here.
Just like her Winx Club counterpart, Fate Flora has the ability to control plants and flowers. If you grew up watching the English dub of the series, then Flora is a princess, but in the original Italian version she is not. "And the thing is, she's not your typical TV Latina. [Fate: The Winx Saga](https://www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/tv/a41123373/fate-the-winx-saga-season-2-set-visit/) dropped on Netflix, fans had tons of questions, especially when it came to their favorite fairies from the original Winx Club series. She was born and raised on the planet Linphea, where she learned to become one with nature and hone her skills. Flora is one of the original Winx girls in the Winx Club and is known as the Guardian Fairy of Nature.
Terra, Musa, Stella, and especially Aisha were more like satellites moving around Bloom and existing in plots that were primarily focused on romance or they ...
I will note that a couple of the plot twists don’t land quite as smoothly but, for the most part, this sophomore season is solid. Bloom and the rest of the girls are dealing with a lot. Rosalind, who is essentially the anti-thesis of the late Headmistress Dowling, is scheming, manipulating, and exercising her will in a manner that’s detrimental to those around her. Musa’s struggling with the realities of being a mind fairy during a time of spiked stress and tension at the school. And, in the midst of this, Bloom is dealing with her guilt over freeing Rosalind. The story is cohesive and compelling, the stakes are apparent from the beginning, and season 2 answers more questions than it leaves its audience with by the end. Terra is coming into herself and fully embracing the fact that she’s gay (yes, she gets a love interest, too). First and foremost, the way friendship is a through line and a supportive element in season 2’s narrative is beautiful to see unfold onscreen. To me, the show came off as a generic supernatural drama with messy storytelling and wasted potential. There’s a particular focus on guidance, connection, and family that speaks to how vital having a community is to a person’s development. The season hits the ground running in its premiere as our quintet organizes a rescue mission for Silva and we’re reacquainted with their powers in a stunning sequence. This is apparent right out of the gate.
