Kedah return to winning ways after edging Penang FC 1-0 (Malay Mail)

ALOR SETAR, Sept 2 โ€” Kedah Darul Aman FC ended a three-match winless streak by beating Penang FC 1-0 in a Super League match, here today.

The win however, did not help Kedah to improve on their position in the league table as the former league runner up remained in seventh spot with 21 points while Penang FC remained rooted in the bottom of the league table with seven points. Playing in front of their home fans, it did not take long for Kedah to stamp their mark in the match after half time when Ronald swept in a cross from Mohd Al Hafiz Harun in the 55th minute to end his teamโ€™s winless streak. Cameroon import Ronald Ngah Wanja was the toast of the Kedah side by scoring the only goal of the match to ensure all three points for his side at the Darul Aman Stadium.

Penang to host global fisheries conference (The Star Online)

Penang will be hosting the International Institute of Fisheries Economics and Trade (IIFET) conference in 2024.

He said Asia accounted for 70% of the global fishery and aquaculture industry in 2020 and Penang would be the third Asian city to host the conference after Nha Trang, Vietnam, in 2008 and Taipei, Taiwan, in 1994. โ€œThe fishery industry in Penang has expanded significantly since 2008 and is a major contributor to the countryโ€™s economy. Penang will be hosting the International Institute of Fisheries Economics and Trade (IIFET) conference in 2024.
