Microsoft Word's content controls make it easier than ever to use dependent controls in your templates to update content all at once.
Adding a space before “students.” In the Controls group, click the Text Box Content Control icon to insert the first text control. Three text controls will make up the dependent content, combined with static content. Figure D shows the dropdown in the document. To populate the dropdown, click Add in the Dropdown List Properties section. Click the Developer tab, and in the Controls group, click the Combo Box Content Control icon. Similar to legacy controls, you can automate the control using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), but you’ll use a VBA event procedure instead of a control property as you do with Word’s legacy controls. We’ll use the combo box content control dropdown to offer a few choices to the document user. After the user chooses an option from the dropdown (a class) and exits the dropdown, a VBA procedure will update three textbox content controls within the body of the document with the class and professor’s name and the student limit. Content controls in Word are containers for content that let users build structured documents. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to populate a content control dropdown with class names. When you find yourself needing this type of document, consider using Word’s content controls to update dependent controls based on the results of another.

They dug around the 1,000-pound concrete slab until a Bobcat operator pulled it out of the ground with a chain and placed it in the parking lot above “The Word.” The classmates buried a time capsule on the hill — just above the letter “B” — in a metal cylinder that was soldered shut and encased in concrete under a plaque. They took a guess on the capsule’s position and Ruip asked the operator to start pounding in a particular spot. It cracked open like an egg right at the end of the time capsule.” The 1967 alumni plan to unveil a plaque on the hillside Sept. 3 following the noon football game between Hoban and Iona Prep.
