A smart pessimist will assess the risks and mitigate them with a combination of these tools before handing over the keys to a renter. The best place to find renters depends on what you’re offering. The best place to find this work depends on the industry. All the risks are best addressed with a combination of background checks, deposits and insurance. You’re also playing “app poker,” which means you have a fistful of driving and delivery apps open anytime you’re on the road, allowing you to jump on the most profitable and proximate jobs, flipping from providing rides to delivering as the best opportunities arise. If you’ve got the skills to find vulnerabilities in computer code, you can make a fortune in cybersecurity. You don’t have to be a pessimist to drive for a ride provider or delivery company, but you’re likely to make more money if you are. Even with record gas prices, you can earn net pay of $30 to $40 per hour doing all of these things. And your ability to see the shoals in otherwise smooth water makes you more prepared than most. That gives pessimists the ability to create one or more contingency plans to ensure success. To compile financial statements for public companies, they must consider a wide array of risks that could jeopardize the business in the future. Underestimating the risks can get your accounting firm sued.
Going all the way back to the 2019 Las Vegas Bowl, to Chris Petersen's final game as the University of Washington football coach, Henry Bainivalu and Victor ...
Behind them, the highly touted Myles Murao has spent two injury-filled seasons with the Huskies and hasn't played in a game yet, and he's bound to get healthy one of these days and make people get out of his way. Bainivalu has a final season to show the scouts what he can do and maybe get on someone's draft board. Curne has two seasons of eligibility remaining to sell himself to the pros, but a productive 2022 could put him in next April's draft, which no doubt is preferable to him. He needs to show more. Last fall, these players each started all 12 games but the UW offensive line didn't produce anywhere near expected and they received no recognition. That's 19 consecutive games working simultaneously in the trenches, 18 as starters.
The “simple question” that led to this article was: “What do you know about an early organ factory in Lancaster?”
It then became the Fairfield Sheet Glass Co. and was purchased in 1928 by the Libbey-Owens Sheet Glass Co. of Toledo. Dec. 19, 1933 the Daily Eagle announced Mambourg had been told to empty the factory. The Cole Glass Co. became the Fairfield Glass Co. under leadership of Leopold Mambourg in 1916. We found William Matson was bound over to the United States Grand Jury for “mail fraud,” (15 Nov 1890 Gazette). “Built for Organ Factory. In hands of receiver. Langerfelder,” was found written on the 1893 Sanborn Map beside a drawing of the factory. Mrs. Homer Hart shared her memories of the factory and an old train bell that called West Side children to Sunday School in the 11 Oct 1941 E-G. C. P. Cole (1856-1919) had a national reputation, and his company was a power to be reckoned with. There are not enough houses in the city at reasonable rental.” The Gazette (10 July 1889) announced the Board of Trade had secured architect Vincent Wyss, and his brother Gotthard, to construct all the buildings of the Feil de Grandmont Glass Works by Oct. 1, for $16,300. When someone asks a “simple” local history question, it often leads this writer through the lives of local citizens, and years of buildings, businesses and industries. The Daily Eagle (26 April 1890) reported: “The musical factory is one of the best built buildings in the Pioneer Addition. It is said when this plant is in good running order it will employ 100 men.” Remember the early “organ factory” that began this search? They were going to drill gas wells, donate land and gas to new companies, and “provide all other requisites for a live modern city.”
Fries are the perfect accompaniment to just about any meal, sandwich or burger at a restaurant. However, the global fry shortage caused by supply chain ...
The current list of sides on the U.S. McDonald's website are the World Famous Fries and apple slices for healthifying your child's meal. McDonald's in other countries often add new side dishes to reflect a culturally significant meal in that country. There are two types of Japanese curry rice on the McDonald's menu. The most they've added is Shaker Fries, a flavored seasoning packet you can put on your fries and smoky nacho cheese sauce, but those are not available anymore. On July 20, the company introduced a new side dish: Japanese curry rice. Fries are the perfect accompaniment to just about any meal, sandwich or burger at a restaurant.

"It always seems like things happen on the East Side first," she said. She said the East Side culture and environment seems faster and more hectic. "You wouldn’t think of an East Sider sitting in a rocking chair on their front porch." "The East Side was glaciated 11,100 years ago," Wertz said. "I always remember things developing on the West Coast before they got to the Midwest. That’s what it seems like here. "East Siders were once those who migrated away from the motherland (West Side) to seek grandeur," he said. The East Side in general is more urbanized." Stan Schmitt, a local historian, noted that Evansville was platted in 1814 in what was then Warrick County. It was briefly the county seat. He said West Siders have the "cake eater" joke about East Siders “but it’s all done in good fun. “As a lifelong West Sider, I've heard of the differences my whole life,” he said. On the other hand, much of what is now the sprawling East Side was once adorned with cornfields. Back then, one of the few places of business past Harrison High School to the outskirts of Newburgh was a single gas station.
With the motto “to make your life easier,” her business Curb Side Casseroles offers pre-made entrees, side dishes, salads, desserts, appetizers – and of course ...
Last year, she even built an addition to the building to create a larger entrance lobby for guests. Two of three are still on the menu and remain top sellers – Almond Chicken with Wild Rice and Black Bean and Spinach Enchiladas. Droke added that having a place like Curb Side to turn to takes stress out of dinnertime and entertaining. “I honestly love going to work. Plus, everyone was in awe of how good the food was." This is in my heart,” said Williams. “Whenever a customer calls and says ‘you just don’t know how you saved me’ it makes my day. Following Williams' lead, each staff member makes their customers feel like an old friend stopping by for a visit. She started out cooking from home. The deliciousness and friendly service is what keeps them coming back week after week. Williams got into the casserole business by accident. Guests only need to take home and re-heat. Her prepared foods shop Curb Side Casseroles celebrates 15 years this month.
Construction is complete on 150 East 78th Street, a 17-story, 25-unit project from RAMSA, Midwood Investment, and EJS Group on the Upper East Side.
Numerous setbacks break up the massing of the upper floors and make way for outdoor terraces lined with dark railings. Ismael Leyva Architects served as the executive architect and residential layout designer for the building, which is located at the corner of East 78th Street and Lexington Avenue, a short walk from the 6 train at the 79th Street station. Finishing touches were in the process of wrapping up at the time of our last update in late March, when black netting covered several sections around the top of the eastern elevation.
Pittsburgh Penguins GM Ron Hextall went for it. He didn't just shed salary by fleecing the New Jersey Devils for Ty Smith and a third-rounder for ...
Matheson climbed to the top pairing, and the numbers climbed. From 2018 through 2021, the Penguins’ top pair of Dumoulin and Letang had exemplary statistics. The eye tests were far more of an indictment of Dumoulin’s slippage. Some combination of Ty Smith, P.O Joseph, and Mark Friedman is in line for the spot. The Penguins’ top pairing might be just fine, as it has been for most days since Brian Dumoulin side-saddled Letang in 2017. Letang-Petry-Rutta is a significant upgrade as the Penguins added legit 40-point offensive upside with Petry and solid, heavy, stay-at-home defense with Rutta.

A mural on South East Street in Indianapolis honors Filipino Americans' culture, heritage, and journey from past to present.
"(It's) just awesome to like, learn about a whole new culture," Haydon said. Going into the assignment, Haydon admits, "This is a culture I don't know," she said. You can learn more about the Center on their website at phcenter.org or their studiohaydon.com. That's our human nature — whether it be from a different country, culture, background — we all want to feel like we belong," Smith said. "We all want to feel a belongingness. Like a lot of band-winged grasshoppers, this one has a raised ridge or keel running along the top of its thorax. That ridge, in species that have one, is ...
And that mobility is another factor that must contribute to the success of this species. But this species is capable of long flights, and it’s not unusual to see one motoring along a fire lane in the State Forest, clearly relocating in a significant way. About three-fourths of an inch long at this point in the season, they already show the notch on the thorax. At rest, with the striking hind wings hidden beneath leathery forewings, Dissosteira carolina is something of a chameleon, easily confused with other band-winged grasshoppers. This large species, about two inches long, is a member of the subfamily Oedpodinae, or band-winged grasshoppers, and like most of its relatives, the Carolina grasshopper has boldly colored hind wings that show in flight. With notable regularity, the first adults take wing around the second week of July (the 14h of the month was when I noticed my first one this season). And the species can be found most years into early November, when cold weather puts an end to their capers.
On Aug. 7, People's Light will open its latest show, which also happens to be a 2020 Tony Award Nominee for Best Play from Bess Wohl.
As the kids descend on the Grand Horizons senior living community in an attempt to mediate, everything they thought they knew about their parents comes crashing down. “Her work is full of compassion for human beings, and ‘Grand Horizons’ is no exception. “We often see these characters pushed to the sidelines and denied the full scope of their humanity. The play explores characters who simply want to be seen, and all the hilarious ways they try to make that happen.” Wohl has gained national acclaim as both a playwright and screenwriter whose work has been nominated for Tony, Drama League, Lucille Lortel, and Drama Desk awards. “We’re thrilled to be working with Bess and Jackson again,” explains People’s Light Producing Artistic Director Zak Berkman in a statement.
