Perhaps the looming state election plays a role in the Health Minister’s opaque commentary and that is why it is so crucial for journalists to demand with vigour that our leaders be transparent before the polls. Keep in mind this is supposed to be “analysis”, not an opinion piece and Dow is not quoting anyone. These are just basic rules in journalism that were broken every day of the pandemic by a progressive faction of journalists who personally happened to agree with the heavy-handed approach.
