Boca Raton Police tell BocaNewsNow.com that the owner of the pitbull is identified as Robert Garcia of Hialeah. According to police: “Robert stated that he unhooked his dog from his leash to secure him to the nearby wall while he ate lunch. The officers called Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control — which is protocol. Amidst screams and cries, a man — possibly the dog’s owner — body slams the dog to the ground, then tries to hold it as diners continue to scream in sheer horror. We are awaiting a response from Boca Raton Police, but it is unknown if they were called to the scene. The dog, as seen the video, apparently rips off the ears of the small dog.
