However, in a recent appearance on Concert Pipeline, Myles and Layne Ulrich have opened up about the idea of why Taipei Houston stays as a two-piece in their career. At the time, the drummer told Rolling Stone that “this insane, three-minute Blue Cheer, crazy, garage-rock version of ‘Eleanor Rigby’. That way, literally, just coming straight from us having written all of it together, we can just hit the ground running like that.” It is pretty exciting for them that they’ve finished recording the debut Taipei Houston album. After his brother Layne, Myles chimed in and thrilled fans by announcing that the first Taipei Houston album is done. Playing its first-ever show this past September at Alex’s Bar in California, the band has been active and creating new stuff for their fans since September 2021.
