Michigan X-factor: DT Mazi Smith, in line for expanded role (mlive.com)

One of those expected to speak up is edge rusher Mike Morris, called on to help fill the void on the outside. Not only has he appeared in 21 games over the past three seasons, but Smith has 14 starts under his belt — the most, by far, among Michigan’s returning defensive linemen. Smith, who was listed at 6-foot-3 and 326 pounds in the spring, will serve as the anchor up front this fall.
