Supermassive Games is set to launch its spiritual successor to Until Dawn, The Quarry, and here's what to know about its digital release time.
Here are the release times for the different platforms: Supermassive Games posted the official release times for The Quarry on its official Twitter account. While these are the confirmed release times from the developer, there's always a chance for the digital launch of a game to be slightly delayed.
Camp Lodge; Camp Cabins; Camp Store; Rocky Road; Shady Glade; Firepit; Island; Boathouse; Lake Septimus; Treehouse; Radio Hut; Pool House; Excavation Site ...
It is the main swimming facility for campers at the quarry. It holds a lot of storage items and other gear that is used by campers while at the quarry. It surrounds the Island and is also next to the Firepit and Boathouse. It is a dangerous lake that shouldn’t be swum in unless supervised by someone else. The camp cabins are where campers bunk together. The lodge serves as a sort of central hub in Hackett’s Quarry. However, there are still the traditional camp facilities available to explore throughout the game’s chapter list, like the cabins and main lodge.
If you're looking to keep everyone alive in The Quarry and nab the Rough Night achievement, then look no further than our handy guide.
You will undo the remaining infections – most notably Nick’s – and now all the nine counselors are alive and uninfected when the sun rises. This will keep him alive for the remainder of the night Once you are on the trail of Silas, Ryan will offer Laura the vial of werewolf blood that he found when rescuing Nick from Bobby earlier in the night. When things are kicking off after Laura has turned, you will have the opportunity as Ryan to shoot Chris Hackett. You need to do this to save everyone else long enough to progress the story. You want to pick two switches that add up to the cage number you are wanting to unlock. Jump in the lake to try and retrieve the rotor arm. Doing so will mean you can find them again later in the story and use them to escape capture. Be sure to hide the syringe behind the brick in your cell that you freed earlier in the chapter. When Ryan and Laura have found Jacob in a cell, under the Hackett House, there are a couple of interrupts that need your attention. This is the first thing you’ll need to do in The Quarry to keep everyone alive. Then when you’re inside, be sure to find the abandoned toy, and take it with you. Either way, see below to find out how to keep everyone alive in The Quarry and bag the Rough Night achievement.
Ah, The Quarry's best ending. The one where all the teens don't die. You want it, we've got it. Keeping everyone alive in The Quarry is challenging, ...
Max will always be a werewolf, will almost-always get cured, and will always die if he heads across the water. Those are the key decisions – much easier to keep everyone alive than you might have thought, isn’t it? On the upside, you can kill Jacob with a gun, which you might really want to by this point. Use loud sounds to distract the werewolf. Still, for the main squad of nine, there are a number of ways to get them to the end alive, well, and ready to make their case to the police that no, officer, honest, there were monsters. Even though the game presents them alongside the teens in the closing crawl of who lived and died, some are inevitable for the plot to move forward. Keeping Emma up is mostly in QTEs, but also grabbing the right items. Be nice to him as much as possible, if you really want. Just don’t leave the island. The one where all the teens don’t die. Keeping everyone alive in The Quarry is challenging, though there are a few different routes to take. Naturally, what follows will include giga-spoilers for The Quarry, from start to finish.
The Quarry tasks the player with guiding a group of unlucky teens through the most horrific night of their lives. Max, along with his girlfriend Laura, arrive ...
First of all, Max obviously survives the events of the prologue. Still, here is what you need to do to make sure Max sees the morning. For the most part, so long as you make the decisions we suggest and pass most of the skill checks in the game, things should turn out okay. You might be wondering how to save Max in The Quarry, despite his affliction. Max, along with his girlfriend Laura, arrive early and are the first to face the nightmares of Hackett’s Quarry. Here is everything you need to know to save Max in The Quarry. Also, it is important to note that there are many variables to this game, and short of a step-by-step guide to exactly how to play the game, we cannot guarantee things will turn out perfectly for you.
The video game combines couch co-op bonding with the joy of watching horror films with friends.
Mr. H drives off in a fury, screaming at them to stay inside; instead, naturally, they decide to knick his beer and have a party. A crash, an ear-whispering ghost, and a creepy cop ensure they aren't going to make it. Unfortunately, the group's van has broken down, and they'll have to stay another night.
If you're wondering why Bobby the local shoots his finger off after Nick bites it in The Quarry, we've got everything you need to know here.
Having this valuable piece of information may allow you to keep some of the counselors alive. His fast actions allow him to survive, albeit a little maimed from the bite from Nick. While Abi can avoid being attacked, Nick isn’t so lucky, and is mauled by the monster.

The Quarry, as a narrative-focused horror game where your choices matter, is all about wanting to discover what kind of ending you might get. But, there are ...
And, then the newspaper article on the paper can change depending on how many people have survived and how much evidence you have collected. The majority of this ending revolves around finding all the evidence locations in the game. The individual deaths can be different depending on who kills who and how they died, leading to numerous different permutations of who collectively survives or dies. Here the two hosts of the Bizarre Yet Bonafide podcast run through a newspaper article and the stories they have heard about the Hackett’s Quarry fire from six years ago. Below, you can find the overview of the two The Quarry endings and how your choices can affect these. During this scene, the game will roll through all the characters in the game, from playable to non-playable.
The new horror video game The Quarry features stars such as Modern Family's Ariel Winter and Scream's David Arquette, and it deserves a lot of love from ...
If even that is too random for those who wish to factor in predetermined fates, there’s an option where all the characters survive, and an option where they all bite the bullet by the end. As a game that already isn’t overwhelmingly interactive in the first place, with only sporadic exploration accompanying the plethora of dialogue and behavior choices, The Quarry knows that might still be too intense for certain people who just want to check out the game for its story merits. With a general lack of cellphones and other digital devices, the game feels as if it was taken right out of the 1980s, and it plays into that vibe while also subverting certain stereotypes. Had this been a straightforward video game review, I might have felt the need to talk about some of the game’s wonkier moments involving dialogue hiccups and erratic facial animation. Not every character stands equal from a quality or likeability perspective — with Laura, Kaitlyn, and Ryan standing out as my personal favorites — but it’s not due to a lack of effort from the actors themselves. When I was a kid, I distinctly remember setting up Coach Mode in NES’ Tecmo Bowl to mirror whatever applicable NFL games were set for that week, and just watching the computer play itself. At this point in their respective careers, fans have a general idea of what to expect from each of them, and there are no disappointments across the board. As the spiritual successor to Until Dawn, The Quarry definitely wears its affinity for the entirety of the horror genre on its blood-speckled sleeves, meaning players can expect to see a range of influences on display throughout the story. Let’s lay out the rest of the talented ensemble below, though without any character information as not to spoil anything on that front. But more on that below, as we take a spoiler-free dive into why The Quarry is as good as it gets for horror movie fanatics. The company’s summer camp frightfest The Quarry has arrived, and not only is it a total blast, but it’s as close as you’ll get to actually playing a horror movie, with a star-studded mo-capped voice cast (including Modern Family vet Ariel Winter, Scream’s David Arquette, and Prodigal Son vet Halston Sage. While many horror projects live or die by the quality of their effects and other aesthetics, a terrible cast delivering terrible lines can ruin anyone’s else’s best efforts.

We also don’t know much about Constance, played by Lin Shaye, as the official website only hints that “they can’t wait to meet you…”. Lin has been acting since the 1970s, including in horror films as her best-known role is Elise Rainier in the Insidious series. Miles is no stranger to horror films, appearing in 2018’s Halloween alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. He’s also Jackson Van De Kamp in The X-Files reboot. Despite often doodling in her sketchbook, she is desperate for romance before the end of summer. Kaitlyn is perhaps one of the more confident members of the counsellor team, although she’s not afraid to stir up trouble now and then. Although he has trouble letting people see his more vulnerable side, Nick is a bit of a teen heartthrob. Emma is played by Halston Sage, who some may know as Lacey from Paper Towns, Taylor in Goosebumps, and Dazzler in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Justice Smith plays Ryan, another one of the counsellors. Skyler Gisondo is Laura’s boyfriend Max, who is a bit of a slacker with little ambition. However, her most prominent role to date is as Elsa in Welcome to Marwen alongside Steve Carell and Gwendoline Christie. In TV comedies such as My Name is Earl and Friends, he also features in one-off roles. With 16 characters in The Quarry, that means each player has to take on multiple roles at a time. What to know who The Quarry cast and characters are?

We really wanted to push down that route of: actually, it wasn't about them being bad, but we wanted to push the player down the route of suspicion and mistrust. The Hills Have Eyes is another version of this, but the Deliverance comparison to The Quarry is the closest, because in this the folk in question aren't freaks, they're just people with their own ruleset. The Evil Dead was very much a part of our thinking, and you'll see that there's a bunch of POV shots in the game that we pretty much stole to get that same sort of feel [laughs]." "There's two films that I'm trying to choose between [for the last one]. There's Deliverance and then there's Southern Comfort, which is a cracking film, but I think it has to be Deliverance. The feeling films like these capture so well is something like: there's a bunch of people up here, and they've got their own rule-set. And there's this contemporary feel with the modern teenagers, the dialogue, the relationships, and all that sort of stuff. And there's also very much a 50s feel to the Hackett's Quarry setting side to the game. So you're really still talking about this story of discovery; it's still a Who Done It of sorts, more than the standard horror which it is now." We've got a very kickass music track going all the way through The Quarry, and that was very much taken from the idea of An American Werewolf. It just has some fantastic music tracks – Bad Moon Rising, and all of that good stuff. It was considered a huge mistake, but it was really impactful on the audience." "To be really honest, a lot of what we do goes right back to Psycho. When Alfred Hitchcock gets Janet Lee killed right near the beginning of the film – no one believed you could do that with a star! "So we really pushed The Quarry down those avenues – the summer camp, let's make it on a lake. And it wasn't that we stole specific ideas, it was just that you can't go back to before Scream. You can't make horror films from before Scream because all of that stuff is now out in the open.
As fate would have it, I've been able to spend the last week or so with a shiny new review copy of 2K's latest release, and after hours scurrying around in the ...
I had an absolute bloody blast with The Quarry, and I say this knowing that it won’t be for everyone. It’s amazing the emotional nuance that Supermassive has been able to capture via the studio, especially in the characters’ eyes, and it makes for some very convincing scenes. It’s not an understatement to say that The Quarry is an experience you watch more than you play, and I can understand how that may turn certain gamers off. There’s lots of conversation, lots of dialogue choices to make, and enough QTEs to make you froth at the mouth for Shenmue IV. As you can tell, the setup is gloriously ‘80s in flavor, and The Quarry takes that retro foundation and sprints with it. Back in May, I was privy to a preview for The Quarry, Supermassive Games’ new teen horror interactive slasher movie, and I walked (ran?) away wanting more.
Seeing as The Quarry offers a great scary homage to 80's summer camp slashers, wanting to further fit the mood is a no-brainer. There's actually a way to ...
Here’s how to get the 80’s outfits in The Quarry. Even if you pre-ordered or bought the deluxe edition on launch, the 80’s outfits will not be available just yet. There’s actually a way to even further get in the spirit with what the characters are wearing.
The Quarry is a Supermassive Games' latest horror title, and here are some things new players should know.
Although some players may want the "good" ending or have certain survivors get through the night, the best possible experience is to go blind in without knowing what to expect. Players should know that the option to select a chapter will unlock after the storyline has been completed at least once. These Quarry paths are key story points or main choices that have a real impact on the story. The most important of these are Combat, Quick Time Events, and Don’t Breathe as they will determine if a character survives or dies, based on how well these mechanics are executed by the player. Although players will probably want to experience a blind first playthrough, several tips will help beginners get the most out of their experience. Of course, the game can be played normally but it’s important to select the correct style of play to maximize enjoyment.

Unfortunately for people trying to save some money, The Quarry is not available on Game Pass for Xbox and PC on release. But will Supermassive’s newest game be available on the Xbox Game Pass service? It not only features the voices and likenesses of stars like David Arquette, Brenda Song, and Justice Smith, but it also follows a similar choice-and-consequence system that will keep every player on their toes as they hesitate to make different decisions throughout the game.

We head back to Laura and Ryan, where Laura struggles with the old woman. Head to the left corner and interact with the bed, where you will find a spoon. Head to the tunnel with the red light to trigger the next cutscene. Next is a cutscene as Kaitlyn, where you need to pick Honest and Encouraging. Head over to Nick to advance, where you need to pick Calm and Compassionate. After that you will be prompted to shoot Nick with the shotgun. Next is a short cutscene with Jacob where you need to choose Pleading. The chapter ends at the campfire where you need to choose Interrupt, Truth, Mischievous, Kaitlyn, and Mischievous. The chapter ends with the narrator. Once you get to the top of the hill, the next cutscene will kick in. Pick up the bags on the stairs to advance, where you will talk to Kaitlyn. Here you will need to pick Playful, Mischievous, and Brave. After that you will need to steal the rotator arm. There aren't any choices here until you reach the lodge, where you need to pick Confident. Inside there are a bunch of options you need to choose while they are attacked by a monster. After that you can walk around as Jacob. Head up to the boat house and interact with Emma to advance, starting a conversation. Throughout The Quarry you will need to make choices and complete quick-time events to keep the counselor alive.
Here's our breaker puzzle guide for The Quarry to help you free Jacob from the cage during a scene in Chapter 8.
However, this will cause Travis to appear, progressing the chapter further. Should Chris still be around after Chapter 9 (i.e., you didn’t manage to kill him), then Jacob will have to contend with him in a QTE sequence. Then, choose #1 and #4 to open the middle door. You control Ryan who, alongside Laura, will have to explore the cellar of Hackett House. At the far end of the corridor, you’ll see red light emanating from a room. Here are the possible outcomes (you’ll need to pull two breakers to see a particular result): Here’s our breaker puzzle guide for The Quarry to help you free Jacob from the cage during Chapter 8.
You finally get to play as Max in The Quarry, and are faced with your first choice, swim to shore and find the others, or wait.
Read on to find out our answer to the question, Should Max Swim to Shore or Wait in The Quarry? If you choose to wait, you’ll be able to keep Max alive for potentially the rest of the game. Max faces a seemingly simple choice, whether or not he should swim to shore to the main area of the quarry from the island, or stay put.
In Supermassive Games' The Quarry, player choices and decisions can change how the game's events turn out. At pivotal moments in the story, you could be ...
That is all there is to it whether should you break the fuel line or steal the rotor arm. Should you choose to steal the rotor arm, Jacob will end up losing it during his dive into the lake with Emma later on. If you are wondering should you break the fuel line or steal the rotor arm when it comes to the van, here’s what you will need to know.
Completing The Quarry with all playable characters alive is no easy task, but making the right decisions is key to unlocking the best ending.
In the first section, there are a few QTEs to be aware of when climbing the stairs, and failure can result in death. Head to the 3rd office upstairs and investigate the locker; inside is a syringe that will be used later to organize a less risky escape. When prompted with the shotgun choice, GIVE TO RYAN. After some PROBING and REFLECTIVE questions, a sudden event prompt will interrupt the scene as Silas attacks, but DO NOT RAISE GUN yet. After a short cutscene, TAKE COVER and complete the QTE, pausing only to leave a DETERMINED comment before the shootout. Eventually, Laura will escape the cell and be able to roam the police station freely. The trio will now be back around the campfire and Ryan attempts to patch Nick's wound. Consequence: Travis will appear at the end of the prologue to drug Laura and shoot at Max's assailant. Back in the poolhouse, Nick will suddenly grab Abi and throw her across the room. After completing multiple QTEs in quick succession, Ryan needs to SHOUT and then SHOOT the hunter to rescue Nick. DO NOT climb the tree or Abi will be caught; wait instead for the timer to run out. Choose to TAKE THE WRENCHES and break into the bunker. After exploring the woods in The Quarry's prologue and potentially discovering a few Quarry collectibles, Laura will get spooked by an unseen figure and flee.
Here's our backup save guide for The Quarry to help you keep track of your progress in case you need to reload to a previous point.
Rather, it will load the instance just before that (i.e., a cutscene or dialogue prior to the decision/QTE). At the very least, you’d be a lot closer to where you left off, as opposed to restarting the chapter completely. When you continue your run, that file will be the backup even if the system shows a different character or playtime. Even then, that feature will simply cause you to start from the very beginning of a chapter, which isn’t a very intuitive system. The SaveGame file is what you need, though I also decided to copy the two option files. Having a backup save in The Quarry is especially useful if you need to make a crucial decision, handle multiple QTEs, pick up any missable Tarot Cards, or ensure that everyone is still alive by sunrise. That’s where backup saves come in, allowing you to bypass a chunk of each chapter.
Looking for all The Quarry prologue collectible locations? Here is where you can find all the clues, evidence, and Tarot Cards in the chapter.
Open the two doors to go inside and walk directly forward to find the Bloodied Collar in the room after a cutscene plays. Almost directly after the last clue, you will reach a small fork in the path. The first and only tarot card location in the prologue of the game can be found after Laura steps down to the lower path.
Want to hunt down all The Quarry chapter 1 collectible locations? Here is where you can find each one that is in the chapter early in the game.
Look for the information signpost and interact with it to get the fifth Camp History clue. Pick it up when the camera switches, or if you miss it, simply walk back and forth to have the camera switch back. Making your way through The Quarry? By now you have most likely been introduced to both Abigail and Jacob who are some of the first characters you control in chapter 1.
Saving the nine Camp Counselors will unlock the Rough Night achievement. While pulling it off can look difficult at first, you can ensure that you get the best ...
- Shoot Nick with the shotgun. Right after the dialogue above, you’ll find yourself in a cell as Laura, where you’ll be able to find two collectibles. If you swim to shore, Max dies. Pick up the collectibles and start a dialogue with Emma. You’ll find yourself with Dylan and Ryan in the fourth scene of chapter five. - Be compliant and choose “Fine” You’ll want to take your time to explore around in this scene, since there are a total of four collectibles. You’ll start off chapter three as Abigail in the woods. - Be reassuring and choose “We’ll be fine, just be careful” The first chapter is filled with dialogues that will constantly require your input. Your in-game actions will decide on the ending you’ll get, and they’ll range from saving everyone to getting everyone in the camp killed. While pulling it off can look difficult at first, you can ensure that you get the best ending by prioritizing a few in-game elements.
