Fans eager to see the conclusion of "Better Call Saul" won't have to wait long for the premiere of Season 6 Part 2.
Gould revealed at PaleyFest LA in early April that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul would be reprising their roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman for cameos in the final season of "Better Call Saul" (via Variety). These cameos, along with whatever other tricks Gould and the writers have up their sleeves, will impact the entire "Breaking Bad"/"Better Call Saul" storyline. Fans can definitely expect to continue experiencing a range of emotions when "Better Call Saul" returns for its final episodes — at least according to co-creator Peter Gould. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in April 2022, ahead of the series premiere, Gould teased what the final season has in store, declaring, "Whipsaw, rug-pulling, there's even some gaslighting. Gould told EW, "We're pulling a lot of threads together — sometimes they're threads, sometimes they're ropes ... I don't think you're going to look at Breaking Bad the same way again after you've seen this whole season." What they didn't expect, however, was for Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton) to show up at their home as well. Their plan went off without a hitch, with the duo now nearly experts at pulling off such schemes — they even expected Howard to show up at their apartment for a confrontation. Now, the series is halfway through its sixth and final season, with the midseason finale having aired on May 23, 2022.

Patrick Fabian reflected on the shocking fate Howard Hamlin suffered at the end of the intense Better Call Saul mid-season finale.
What also makes Hamlin's death so shocking is that his death was the last way in which fans would have expected him to go out. Seeing the show merge the two sides of the story into one scene can be quite riveting - much like how Breaking Bad did the same when Uncle Jack and his gang murdered Hank - because of how rare a scene like that is. Up to that point, Hamlin had never crossed paths with anyone from the criminal side of the show and only happened to cross paths with the show's most dangerous character by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. "I didn’t know how, I didn’t know specifics, and like all the seasons, it’s come to me script by script by script. "I knew I was going to bow out early, that was already told to me before the season," Fabian said. Of course, Patrick Fabian himself is just one of many to share their thoughts on the mid-season finale and Howard Hamlin's fate.

Happy endings are hard to come by in the Breaking Bad universe, and Howard Hamlin's (Patrick Fabian) fate proves as much. Of course, Nacho Varga (Michael Mando) ...
We spent a lot of time in the writers’ room trying to think of some way that he could get out of the situation he was in. Of course, Nacho Varga (Michael Mando) also met his end in Better Call Saul Season 6 Part 1. Of course, Nacho isn’t the only person whose absence during Breaking Bad needs to be addressed. Many were hoping he’d find a way out of his impossible predicament in Better Call Saul Season 6. And the writers actually tried to keep him alive — but ultimately, that didn’t work for his storyline. Nacho tells the Salamancas precisely how he feels about them, even confessing his role in Hector’s (Mark Margolis) heart attack.
Though Jimmy McGill takes on the name Saul Goodman at the end of Season 4, he doesn't have an immediate transformation into the well-connected underground ...
Though half the season has already aired, audiences still don't know what happens to Kim Wexler to account for why the character does not appear in "Breaking Bad." After "Plan and Execution," it's fair to assume it has something to do with Howard's murder. "The Time Machine" sees its protagonist, referred to as the Time Traveller, going to the year 802,701 and seeing that human life is driven by two factions in the future: the Eloi, a rich society who live leisurely lives, and the Morlocks, working-class people who live underground and make the Eloi's wealth possible. And similar to the Time Traveler, the consequences of Saul's meddling have started raining down. Apparently, it's on Saul's reading list, as the book is seen again in Saul and Kim's bedroom in the episode "Carrot and Stick." Audiences won't start to get those answers until the second half of the season starts airing in July, but the production team behind the series has placed a few clues that may offer insight into the potential journeys ahead — if you know where to look. "Better Call Saul" has taken viewers on a journey to uncover exactly what leads Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) to become the wise-talking criminal lawyer Saul Goodman, who is employed by Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) throughout "Breaking Bad." Though Jimmy McGill takes on the name Saul Goodman at the end of Season 4, he doesn't have an immediate transformation into the well-connected underground lawyer audiences learned to love in the original series.
