Stranger Things season 4 episodes 8 and 9 are on the way. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last.” Prior to the premiere of season 4, Matt and Ross Duffer explained their reasoning to fans in an open letter. Stranger Things was never meant to last forever. Heck, the original concept of Stranger Things was barely meant to last past its first season. Here is when you can expect to binge the lengthy episodes 8 and 9.
Netflix's 'Stranger Things' will wrap up its penultimate Season 4 with two more episodes that will be released later this year. Here's when:
While they had too much story left to just wrap everything up in Season 4—hence the supersizing of the season—things would be coming to a close with Season 5. "Given the unprecedented length, and to get it to you as soon as possible, Season 4 will be released in two volumes." "With nine scripts, over eight-hundred pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one," they wrote.

His corpse, broken and bloody, plummets with a sickening crunch to the pavement below. He stumbles backward into a pit in the road and panics, looking for some way to climb out. The pit opens up to a tunnel and along that tunnel, Vecna stalks toward him. When he makes it to the street, there’s the smoking ruin of the car from his past accident. It’s a lead, and the only one anybody has so far. Soon, it’ll be like Ciri in The Witcher—everyone will be looking for Eddie, from Dustin and his group to the police to the basketball team. Nancy convinces Eddie’s uncle to talk with her and he tells her about Victor Creel, a man who apparently killed his entire family back in the late 1950s and is still locked away at the mental asylum. The last of our subplots sees Nancy (Natalie Dyer) and Fred heading out to the trailer park where Chrissy died. He does and just then one of the students rolls up and tosses a chocolate milkshake on her, causing her to fall and the DJ to proclaim “Wipeout!” So far, the identity of the victim and the prime suspect remain unknown to anyone but the cops and Max, who tracks down Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and tells him what she witnessed—as well as the strange flickering of lights and other mysterious goings on. They turn on the TV and see the news about the dead student and one jokes that maybe it’s Chrissy and that’s why she ghosted Jason (Mason Dye). Not a tasteful joke even if it wasn’t so dead-on. She goes out front to see what’s going on and sees the body through the door.

Hopper and Enzo are able to escape when one of the back doors opens, and Hopper launches the fiery spear at the Demogorgon in an attempt to take it down once and for all. One also says that he was taken away to Hawkins Lab to be experimented on, but when Brenner realized that he was getting too powerful, Brenner used the implant to take away his powers and kept him locked up. Murray decides to pull out a gun against the general to try to get them to open some of the gates so Hopper and Enzo can survive, but when they head to the control room, everyone refuses. Back in the Upside Down and Hawkins, both groups meet up at Eddie's trailer and find out that their theory checks out. But the spear takes a while to light up, and with nothing to protect them, he and Enzo are the only prisoners left alive when the fire finally starts. Nancy remembers the Upside Down is a copy of their world and she has guns in her room, so the group races there to get the weapons to protect themselves. She is then seen back in the rainbow room playing chess with Peter Ballard, the kind assistant in the lab who gains an interest in Eleven and her progress. While looking at her journal and school notes, Nancy realizes that while the Upside Down is a copy of Hawkins, it's from two years ago. She starts to relive the aftermath of her attack by the other kids, leading to Two getting shocked with a collar as his punishment while everyone else looks on. Brenner tells her that ultimately everything is up to her, and she needs to make a choice about whether or not to continue. Episode 7, which also serves as the last episode in Stranger Things 4 Part 1, is jam-packed as everyone races to try to save each other while also figuring out the truth about Vecna, the Russians, and the military.
