Donald G. Auch (Southern Pines Pilot)

Donald G. Auch, 79, of Pinehurst, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022, at FirstHealth Hospice House, Pinehurst.

One of the joys of his life was watching his grandchildren participate in hockey, soccer, lacrosse and cross country; living vicariously through their achievements. Don was proud to be a member of the Tin Whistles, which is a generous group that awards scholarships to deserving local students. A personalized service will be held at that time. He also enjoyed being a member of the Rotary Club of the Sandhills, and was instrumental in raising money for their charitable fund. They also enjoyed boating, skiing, golf, platform tennis and just taking off on a “play day.” He was born in Detroit, Mich., to the late Melvin and Ethel Auch. He is survived by his sister, Beverly (the late Howard) Buchanan, of Columbia, S.C.

To that end, you should be aware of the 1 warning sign we've spotted with Norske Skog . Private companies may also have a strategic interest in the company. While this group can't necessarily call the shots, it can certainly have a real influence on how the company is run. Our data indicates that Private Companies hold 5.3%, of the company's shares. It is not uncommon to see a big share price drop if two large institutional investors try to sell out of a stock at the same time. BNY Mellon Asset Management is the second largest shareholder owning 8.8% of common stock, and UBS Asset Management holds about 3.3% of the company stock. This compares to a market capitalization of kr5.2b. We generally like to see a board more invested. So it is worth checking the past earnings trajectory of Norske Skog, (below). Of course, keep in mind that there are other factors to consider, too. We would expect most companies to have some institutions on the register, especially if they are growing. Looking at our data, we can see that the largest shareholder is Oceanwood Capital Management LLP with 29% of shares outstanding. If you want to know who really controls Norske Skog ASA ( OB:NSKOG), then you'll have to look at the makeup of its share registry. The one-year return on investment is currently 58% and last week's gain would have been more than welcomed.
