Mads Mikkelsen Joins Cast Of New Period Drama King's Land (Screen Rant)

Mads Mikkelsen is set to star alongside Amanda Collin in the upcoming period drama King's Land, reuniting with A Royal Affair director Nikolaj Arcel.

Co-written by Arcel and Anders Thomas Jensen (Riders of Justice), Mikkelsen has described their vision for the new title as an “awe-inspiring” re-telling of Danish history. Produced by Zentropa with a budget of $8.5 million, the film will reportedly be one of the studio’s largest to date after major titles including Melancholia and The Hunt. TrustNodisk is also attached to handle the project's international distribution. Louis Vesth (Nymphomaniac) is producing King’s Land, which is expected to begin production in September. Another team-up from Mikkelsen and Arcel is certainly encouraging news for the film, which is set to be yet another compelling period drama from the duo.

Indiana Jones 5 Will Be An Old-School Indy Film Says Mads Mikkelsen (Screen Rant)

Actor Mads Mikkelsen says that director James Mangold's Indiana Jones 5 will be like a real old-school Indy film and praises star Harrison Ford.

Hopefully, Mikkelsen's assertion about Indiana Jones 5 is correct, as fans have been waiting a long time to see the character return and with the same spirit and style as his early adventures. Mikkelsen's role in Indiana Jones 5 is yet to be revealed, as many of the movie's characters and plot details are being kept under wraps. 1984's Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom and 1989's Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade were both well-received, successful entries in the franchise, but 2008's Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was heavily criticized by audiences, who felt it lacked the same energy, style, and narrative quality that made the previous entries a success.
