Tatiana Maslany is ready to smash things in the first trailer for upcoming Marvel Studios/Disney+ comedy-action series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
“I just want to be a normal, anonymous lawyer,” Jennifer moans in the clip, which is followed by clips showing She Hulk’s rise to notoriety. The series will follow the next Marvel Studios series, Ms. Marvel, which centers on New Jersey teen Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), who suddenly gains superpowers of her own. The trailer reveals Maslany as Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases.
There are some fresh MCU faces in Marvel's first She-Hulk trailer, and also some very familiar ones.
As for the non-powered civilians to show up in the trailer, there’s nothing much to say. It will be interesting to see what they have in store for this guy down the line. Mark Ruffalo returns as the hybrid Hulk introduced in Avengers: Endgame. Considering his arms are both normal, I would imagine the scenes with him are flashbacks and take place during the Blip. The She-Hulk transformation initially appears to be like what the Hulk was initially: fear and anger turning the person into a rage monster. Jameela Jamil will be Titania, a character introduced in the original Secret Wars event back in 1984. It succeeded in keeping Walters alive, but it also gave her the ability to become a green gamma beast. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will be coming out this August with nine episodes and, looking at the trailer, it gives us a comedic, albeit down-to-earth look at what society is in the MCU.
Something is decidedly…off in many of the scenes featuring the green form of She-Hulk, played by Tatiana Maslany doing some sort of mo-cap enhanced by ...
I doubt they would go to market with an unpolished She-Hulk. I definitely think they can clean up scenes like the ones we’re seeing here before release, but if not, maybe the show gets a delay to ensure it doesn’t debut as a meme. Is this is a problem for She-Hulk as a show? Many were looking forward to seeing She-Hulk get her own series due to love of the comic character.
The poster for the newest Disney+ MCU series She-Hulk is here, and shows Tatiana Maslany as a big, green attorney-at-law.
As this promo piece cheekily teases, Jennifer Walters, a hard-working lawyer who doubles as our giant green, mutated titular character, isn't afraid to blend her work life with her personal life, creating a ferocious dual identity that makes her one of a kind — both in life and in the court. Whether the show pulls off its goofy tone remains to be seen, but this official poster makes it clear that She-Hulk will be a feminist rally call that's unafraid to play up the comic character's silly side. As we've now seen from the show's official trailer and other newly-released promotional materials, Disney is entirely in the swing of getting the word out on their latest small-screen event series.
The new series stars Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases. The show's executive producer ...
The series will have nine episodes and stars Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry. "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" follows Walters as she "navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk." The new series stars Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases.
With an upcoming appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Benedict Wong continues to be the MVP of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
There's no clue how much of Phase Wong we have left. Disney confirmed today that Benedict Wong is part of the cast for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, playing the Sorceror Supreme Wong once again. It seems like Wong is the new face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or at least its superheroic fixer.
A Marvel hero is only as good as their villain. Where would the Avengers be without Loki, or Loki without Kang? And as much as Jennifer Walters, ...
Titania certainly makes an impression in her fringed bodysuit, leggings, and gold-trimmed jacket, and while that’s completely different from the outfit she wears in the comics it’s certainly evocative of the 1980s, when she was first introduced into comic canon. In the comics, Titania is born as Mary MacPherran, an unassuming girl from Denver, Colorado who dreams of becoming a superhero. What you may not know is that the action-packed She-Hulk trailer featured our first glimpse of Titania, and she lives up to her name.
Marvel also announced that it has begun production in Atlanta on Echo, a nine-episode spinoff series centered on the deaf gang leader Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), ...
She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward." This new trailer introduces us to Jennifer Walters (Maslany), a successful single lawyer who has just been asked to lead the superhuman law division of her firm. Per the official premise: "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk." Per the official premise, the character's "ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has described the series as a "half-hour legal comedy" (with superheroes) and said it would hew closely to John Byrne's take on the character in the comics. Bonus: Mark Ruffalo reprises his role as Bruce Banner/Hulk and teams up with She-Hulk, played by Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany. Marvel also announced that it has begun production in Atlanta on Echo, a nine-episode spinoff series centered on the deaf gang leader Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), who was introduced in last year's Hawkeye.
The show stars Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) as Jennifer Walters, an ace attorney who gains Hulk-like abilities– the same as her cousin, Bruce Banner (Mark ...
On the other end of the show’s title card, the teaser ends with a comedic look at Jennifer’s dating life as She-Hulk. She bemoans dating in her 30s, but as She-Hulk, she gets a veritable flood of online dating matches. She’s a super-strong, super durable threat, and has established herself in the comics as a formidable rival to She-Hulk. Considering her background with supergroups like the Masters of Evil and the Frightful Four, it would be no surprise if Jamil is tapped for future appearances after her showdown with She-Hulk. There are actually two versions of this character in the comics - the first is Vincent Patilio, aka Leap-Frog. He’s an inventor who designed a powered set of “leaping coils” that nobody cared about, so he used them for crime until he got busted by Daredevil. Then his well-intentioned son, Eugene Patilio, used his father’s invention to clumsily fight crime as Frog-Man. Of all the things Eugene could have done with his life, he decides to follow his father’s webbed footsteps and put on a frog suit. She-Hulk may turn out to be a slice-of-life narrative first and a superhero action-adventure romp second, and that’s just fine. Early in the trailer, we saw a group of shadowy-looking dudes with an eclectic choice of weapons: a crowbar, a hook, and… Despite her disdain, the trailer makes it clear that superpowers and heroics are a package deal for Jennifer with a rapid-fire montage with some of the show’s costumed villains. The version we get in She-Hulk may be an amalgamation of the two, but I secretly hope it’s Frog-Man over Leap-Frog, because then that will mean there are canonically not just one, but two whole Frog-Men in the MCU. Our first real look at She-Hulk is downright smashing as she busts the wall of saw blades and rips off the door in a fury at her cousin’s frightening methods. The trailer kicks off with the Los Angeles city skyline and a voiceover from Bruce Banner, who waxes philosophically to Jennifer about the difficult road to becoming a superhero. “That is for billionaires, and narcissists, and adult orphans.” One possible candidate could be The Vault. Abomination’s cameo in Shang-Chi had him sparring with Wong (Benedict Wong) at the fight club in Macau, only for Wong to give him fighting tips while escorting him through a portal to the very same prison cell we see in the She-Hulk trailer. Other than that, she has a stressful new job, what we know about Jennifer is that she has friends with large personalities, while she seems to have a rather reserved, unassuming, by-the-book nature.
Marvel has released the trailer for its new TV series, which stars Tatiana Maslany as a super-powered lawyer.
It also features a set-piece of She-Hulk scrolling through Tinder, which is a welcome addition to the usually sexless MCU (though let's be real, all the supers would be on Raya). The tagline, meanwhile is "you'll like her when she's angry." As mentioned above, the trailer is pretty light on plot details. Marvel's short plot synopsis for the show reads: "the new comedy series stars Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases." This means viewers should get episodes weekly until the finale on Wednesday, October 12. In this promo, we meet Jennifer Walters (played by Tatiana Maslany), a hotshot lawyer turned six-foot-seven green superhero.
The She-Hulk: Attorney At Law gave us a look behind the curtain at Jennifer Walters' life, but it's missing a key element of her comic character.
Because she comes by her powers by way of blood transfusion rather than a blast of gamma radiation, Jennifer has always had more control than Bruce (and even opts to stay in her Hulk form most of the time). In the comics anyway. As you may have noticed, Jennifer’s got a much more pleasant disposition than her cousin’s Hulk (or at least that Hulk in his early days). This trailer makes it pretty clear that we’re joining Jennifer at the beginning of her journey as She-Hulk, but there’s a reason she’s a hair more calm than Bruce was in his smashy-smashy days. And yes, that was Frog Man you caught a glimpse of in the trailer. While Abomination will most certainly play a part in the upcoming story, he’s not the only villain coming out to play. If the series mirrors the comics, Jennifer will take on the She-Hulk persona after receiving a blood transfusion from the Big Green Guy. More on her powers in a second! The one and only Bruce Banner will play a prominent role in the series as Jennifer Walters’ cousin.
Here's what we know about the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney+ series 'She-Hulk' so far, including a breakdown of its first trailer.
Directed by Kat Coiro (Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9) and Anu Valia (Episodes 5, 6, 7) with Jessica Gao as head writer, “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. The idea of a superhero-themed court procedural comedy sounds pretty damn fun, especially with Maslany and Mark Ruffalo as the leads. Regardless, the trailer graces with Walters in full She-Hulk mode, which includes, but is not limited to: Hulk-jumping, right-swiping on dating apps, smashing bad people, and grabbing drinks after work.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the eighth MCU show on Disney+, starring Tatiana Maslany as the lawyer who transforms into the titular green giant, ...
The most recent comics lean towards a bigger, more intimidating She-Hulk. The trailer highlights the big difference between She-Hulk and (He)Hulk, as the latter looks like a green neanderthal, his body shape distorted by bulging muscle, like a gorilla overdosed on steroids. Fans also questioned the wonky CGI, as again, the difference between the two Hulks is quite dramatic - He-Hulk looks far more realistic, the visual effects team likely able to reuse the digital asset from the films, which has been perfected over several years of blockbuster appearances, as well as the character being older, more weather-beaten, which gives the creature more texture.
This nine-episode comedy series follows “Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a ...
Or get a huge muscle lady for the She-Hulk parts. It would not have been possible to simply put prosthetics on Maslany, as the character has to physically transform into a seven-foot-tall green bodybuilder, Paul Tassi, a movie critic, wrote for Forbes. I’m still very much looking forward to She-Hulk but uh they couldn’t just paint her green?
Marvel drags She-Hulk into the "Sonic the Hedgehog" zone.
VFX work is not only hard, VFX workers are some of the most put-upon and exploited people in the industry and in the end they’re doing what they were asked to do with the budget they were given. There’s a lot of moving parts to this show — Marvel is a huge operation, not even directors are truly in charge of their projects, and executives, particularly one executive named Kevin Feige, make the big decisions. The first “Sonic the Hedgehog” movie was delayed by 4 months after the first look at Sonic was met with universal mockery. It’s the one thing that absolutely has to be, at minimum, easy to take for granted for the show to work. It wouldn’t be that bad if we didn’t have an example in the same footage of her cousin, Bruce Banner, who apparently mostly appears in his Professor Hulk form. You will never convince me that the woman played by Tatiana Maslany and the green superhero she turns into are the same character.
Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock made his highly anticipated return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe late last year, and fans are hoping he returns sooner rather ...
But the only thing I would say is that for a long time I was asked these questions and I genuinely had not heard anything," the Daredevil star said in an interview earlier this year. We've seen some deep comic cuts make the leap to live-action, and a moment such as this would fit perfectly into the narrative of She-Hulk, which is said to be comedy through-and-through. In fact, some think they may have already seen the fan-favorite character in the first She-Hulk trailer released earlier this week.
Tatiana Maslany will be playing Jennifer Walters in the ...
What do you make of this story? However, some fans were saying that a Matt Murdock cameo in the series might not be the best thing in the world. It’s already been rumoured that Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock – aka Daredevil – will be in the upcoming Echo Disney Plus series.
Actress Tatiana Maslany will take on the role of Bruce Banner's cousin who receives a gamma-infused blood transfusion which grants her Hulk-like powers. Judging ...
To add to the speculation, in the third season of Charlie Cox's Daredevil series, the villainous Benjamin Poindexter is used by Wilson Fisk to ruin the Man Without Fear's reputation. While it's likely that fans can take this appearance at face value, there is a comic precedent for Matt Murdock to actually be the one wearing the Frog-Man suit, as speculated by The Cosmic Circus. If rumors are to be trusted, it will also be host to cameos and special appearances from a wide variety of Marvel characters.
Matt Murdock might be in the teaser, suggest some eagle-eyed viewers – but not in his regular suit.
As pointed out by The Cosmic Circus, Murdock knocks out Frog-Man and disguises himself as his amphibious foe by putting on his suit in the comic book 'Daredevil #11' from 1965. It's long been rumoured that Matt Murdock will make an appearance in the show – a theory that is bolstered by the fact that he and She-Hulk's protagonist Jennifer Walters (played by Tatiana Maslany) are both lawyers. We wouldn't put it past Marvel to hide an exciting cameo like that in plain sight.
Disney+ dropped the new trailer for the Tatiana Maslany-led She-Hulk series, but it seems to play into the unfortunate tropes of the comics.
I hope that the trailer is highlighting a few of these moments to play into the sitcom vibes, and that the actual series will delve deeper. Maybe it’s a byproduct of the uncanny valley-ness of the character design, but each glamified She-Hulk scene shown in the trailer looks like an entirely different actress being rendered. Her transformations don’t make her more sexually appealing, she is allowed to be more grotesque and less aimed toward the male gaze. Sure, there are some details of Maslany that are recognizable in the transformation, but they still get lost in the jarring design choices. Most of her comic runs feature her half-dressed, shielding her naked body with a newspaper, or bikini-clad on the covers. They are tasked with quick turnarounds, long hours, and underfunded teams, and they are not covered by the same union regulations and protections as most of the industry, which results in rampant exploitation.
We got to see lead Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, a successful attorney about to become the newest green-skinned, rage-powered superhero around. We got to ...
But by the time the Ben Schwartz-Jim Carrey movie was released, Sonic was presentable enough to audiences to clean up at the box office and get a successful sequel released. The online hubbub about She-Hulk brings to mind the long-ago days when the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog was released and the Internet collectively lost its mind by what the visual effects team had done to their beloved blue rodent. Honestly, with the number of screenshots and gifs that are already floating around there, it is difficult to really argue with that point.
Everyone knows The Incredible Hulk, right? But were you aware the angry green giant had a female counterpart? That's right, She-Hulk is glamourous and green ...
The series is set to release on Disney+ (sign up over on our guide to Disney Plus) at the end of August. The logo features a super retro word mark that looks like something straight from the '80s – and I kind of love it. That's right, She-Hulk is glamourous and green – and fans have just been treated to a first look at the new hero's logo.
The first trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is finally out, and it seems like an iconic part of She-Hulk's character might not be in the MCU.
Of course, just because Tatiana Maslany's She-Hulk isn’t breaking the fourth wall in the trailer doesn’t mean that she won’t do so in the show. Unlike the comics, however, She-Hulk doesn’t appear to have She-Hulk break the fourth wall, which was one of her iconic traits from the comics. Even with that in mind, however, it’s still odd that such an iconic part of the character is seemingly being omitted from the show.
Artist Jen Bartel creates a new template for fans to put their own original characters into the final scene of Marvel's She-Hulk trailer.
The character has been a member of a number of Marvel teams over the years, including the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Heroes for Hire and more. Marvel released the first trailer for the Disney+ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series on May 17. The template is based on the final scene in the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law trailer where Jennifer Walters picks up a man and carries him across an apartment.
The first teaser trailer for 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law' features a brief cameo from none other than Frog-Man. Here's what Marvel fans should know about the ...
It’s unclear whether the Frog-Man seen in She-Hulk will show up again in Secret Invasion. The Fabulous Frog-Man — In the comics, Frog-Man is the superhero moniker that Eugene Patilio gives himself. The first trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law features a number of unexpectedly wacky moments and goofy images.
The 'She-Hulk' trailer reveals many things about the upcoming Marvel series, including who we can expect to be the main 'She-Hulk' villain.
In the trailer, we get a blink-and-you-miss-it moment with what appears to be the Wrecking Crew, a ragtag team of criminals empowered by a magical crowbar. Emil’s not the only potential villain we see in the She-Hulk trailer. While both properties are very different in tone, and the protagonists are vastly different, it seems like both have similar patterns when it comes to how they deal with villains. He’s also briefly in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings when he meets Wong as a tournament fighter in Macau. While Marvel’s shows on Disney Plus are veering away from black and white hero versus villain stories, we still need to know who the villains in She-Hulk are going to be. In the She-Hulk trailer, we see Emil Blonsky multiple times.
Highly anticipated Marvel series 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law' finally has a trailer. Watch the series when it premieres on Disney+ on August 17, 2022.
To start watching She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on you can subscribe to Disney+ today starting at $7.99 or $79.99 for a year’s subscription. The trailer for the new series focuses on Jennifer's attempts to balance her new life as she trains with Smart Hulk to master her abilities and navigates her career and her identity as She-Hulk. It also appears to include a brief cameo by Frog-Man, a fan-favorite Marvel character. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was created by Jessica Gao, and follows the story of Marvel character Jennifer Walters, an attorney who is thrust into the world of superheroes when she becomes She-Hulk, a powerful, green version of herself similar to Bruce Banner's Hulk, or Smart Hulk in his current iteration. The platform is also constantly releasing new content, such as highly anticipated Marvel series like Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight as well as upcoming Star Wars series like Obi-Wan Kenobi and more. You can catch the series, as well as other upcoming MCU installments, on Disney+. Phase Four of the MCU is in full swing.
For eagle-eyed viewers, Stark Tech can be spotted in the new She-Hulk trailer.
Tony certainly did some good at getting his tech out there into the world. Despite Tony Stark having been dead for a few years at this point, his corporation and its technology don’t seem to be going away. It would seem that Bruce Banner worked with Tony to develop a testing lab of sorts. The trailer for She-Hulk just dropped, and fans now have their first look at Tatiana Maslany’s hero at law. Nevertheless, the series still looks like yet another fun and unique Disney+ venture. While all eyes were on the Hulks featured in the trailer, there’s something else hiding in the finer details: the return of Stark tech.
