Popstar Mika is one of the hosts of Eurovision Song Contest 2022 as Italy stage this year's competition.
While Mika, 38, isn't Italian, being of Lebanese birth and growing up in the UK, he has a huge following in Italy and has appeared on The X Factor there. While the likes of the UK's Sam Ryder, host nation Italy and 'big 5' countries France, Germany and Spain, all have automatic places in Saturday's grand final. His family moved to London when he was nine years old, where he eventually attended Westminster School and the Royal College of Music. It was here that Mika gained his passion for music, learning the piano and writing his first song – a piano instrumental entitled ‘Angry’ – at age seven. When Mika was a year old, his family was forced to leave war-torn Lebanon and moved to Paris, France.
