Rio Ferdinand says Tottenham would be 'crazy' to not sign ... (HITC)

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has been full of praise for Tottenham's Dejan Kulusevski.

Well, there’s a strong case to make, but the fact that he only joined in January does slightly work against him on that front. Kulusevski has been phenomenal at Spurs, I think he plays like a man beyond his years, cultured and calm. Kulusevski could well end up being a Spurs player on a permanent basis.

Cashing in on Hojbjerg – who is valued at £36million by Transfermarkt – could also increase the Italian’s summer budget and alter the plans he is making at Hotspur Way, so it may make sense to sanction the Dane’s departure. However, the journalist also feels Hojbjerg is no longer a key component of Conte’s plans in north London, meaning there is a possibility that he could be among the big names to leave Spurs in the coming months. Brown believes it would come as a surprise to many if Hojbjerg were to leave Tottenham in the summer.

The Foxes are still in Europa Conference League as they settled for a 1-1 draw against AS Roma and former Spurs manager Jose Mourinho. Wipe your feet, mind the gap, and be sure to check out the other pages at this outstanding site. - Along those lines, outright abuse of players or match officials is also not allowed. This week’s challenge are Leicester City, who were the victims of some insane late match heroics by one Steven Bergwijn just a few months ago.

Tottenham vs Leicester: Antonio Conte will want to see a stark improvement to keep Spurs in the top-four race, when the Foxes visit north London.

— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial)May 1, 2022 Leicester, meanwhile, have been rather preoccupied with their Europa Conference League adventure of late, with the Foxes drawing Jose Mourinho’s Roma 1-1 in the semifinal first leg on Thursday. Form in the Premier League has suffered as a result, with just one win from their last five games. With seven “cup finals” between them and the promised land, the first 180 minutes were anything but ideal.

Son Heung-min leads Tottenham past Leicester to bolster top-four bid (The Guardian)

Tottenham beat Leicester 3-1 thanks to a goal from Harry Kane and a brace from Son, climbing back up to fourth in the Premier League.

Nothing looked on when Kulusevki rolled the ball back to Son on the edge of the penalty area but a curling shot that dipped just below the crossbar gave Schmeichel no chance and left Leicester with a mountain to climb. The last time these sides met in January, two stoppage-time goals from Steven Bergwijn snatched a dramatic victory for Tottenham that Conte said “highlighted the spirit and commitment” of his players. “It’s a very important result because there is a lot of pressure at this stage of the season.

Leicester are among those teams with shifting priorities at this stage of the campaign. No team is guaranteed to help Kane back to form quite like Leicester. This was his first goal for six weeks and his 17th in 14 Premier League appearances against them. Three minutes later, he went off to a standing ovation and received a cuddle from Conte.

Tottenham vs Leicester final score: Son masterclass for Spurs (video) (NBC Sports)

Heung-min Son scored twice and set up a Harry Kane goal as Tottenham Hotspur did enough to beat much-changed Leicester City 3-1 in North London on Sunday.

3. Leicester’s focus understandable: The Foxes didn’t just have injuries to deal with but the understanding that their return to Europe is very, very important if they want to keep hold of their best players and also attract suitable replacements. A goal away from his first 20-goal PL season, Son has already set his career-best goal mark and is three assists from his 2019-20 standard of 11. 1. Son’s sensational season continues: Heung-min Son went a month without a goal early in the season and that along with two short injury absences may well keep the South Korean from the Golden Boot. Since scoring at home to Brentford on Dec. 2, Son has 15 goals and seven assists.

Grabbed another assist with his corner for Kane and then fired home himself on the hour mark with a clinical turn and finish. Sent a header over from Sessegnon's cross late in the half. The one time he did he picked out Lucas for a chance towards the end of the first half. Dominated in midfield for much of the match, setting the tone with some crunching tackles in the centre of the pitch in the early stages. Less to do from an attacking sense as those in front did the work, and that suited him perfectly and helped him concentrate on his defending, which was very good. Made a superb early save to tip Daka's shot onto the right-hand post and, in the second half, flew out to deny Iheanacho. Didn't have much to do, but what he did was important and stopped the game from turning.

There was no problem with the tackle," he said in his post-match press conference. "I had a problem with us not winning the tackle. Selling Eric Dier short with a pass inside his own box, he needed his teammate to react quickly and clear the ball away from danger before it was intercepted in such a good position. And the lads have a chance to make it even better and give us more to celebrate with the remaining four matches. They’ve managed it with matches to spare and while fielding the youngest average starting lineup in the Premier League. They are eight points better this season over the corresponding matches from last year and have already bettered the points haul. Arsenal still have plenty to play for this season. You could look at the remaining matches and give multiple reasons why each team will or will not be motivated to put in a good performance, regardless of whether they appear to have something to play for or not. Arsenal have their sights set on a 4th place finish and a return to the Champions League. The task is straightforward - win out, qualify for the CL. Or win three and draw Spurs, qualify for the Champions League. Arsenal are two points ahead of Tottenham with the same number of remaining games and a North London Derby on May 12th. Tottenham have a significantly better goal difference (7) than Arsenal, so unless the final four matches somehow erase that, if the two sides finish tied on points, Spurs finish higher.

Here are our talking points from Spurs' 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday afternoon.

His arrival from Wigan only two years ago made it difficult to involve him in the young Europa Conference League squads early this season as he could not be registered on the B list of young club players. However, when Spurs jettisoned three central midfielders in January so he returned and Conte decided that the recalled Bowden would help to supplement the squad. All the while he was talking to everyone around him, telling the full-backs to push up or hold back and carefully watching how the match was playing out. The key for Scarlett as he learns off the likes of Harry Kane and Son will be learning how to impact matches when he's not seeing enough of the ball. Next season Tottenham are expecting to receive more approaches from Championship clubs, although a move to League One might suit the young player better at this age.
