I can guarantee you that the Grand Prix will keep taking place beyond 2022. I guess that the difficult part is that the racing itself is not that spectacular. In his own session with the media, LaVine confirmed that he’s going to meet with his doctor in Los Angeles to determine the best plan of action for his knee (Twitter link via Johnson). He also stated that free agency is a “big decision” for him and his family and that he intends to take his time to consider all his options (Twitter link via Johnson). While LaVine said he’ll leave it to his agent and the Bulls’ front office to try to work out a deal, he admitted that being a maximum-salary player is important to him, tweets Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports Chicago: “I see myself as a top guy in this league and I think I’ve proven that over the last four years.” Here’s more on the Bulls: Besides retaining LaVine, Karnisovas likes the idea of keeping the Bulls’ roster mostly intact and making minor changes around the edges, tweets Schaefer. “Hopefully we can keep the core together and work around the margins,” Karnisovas said. Given the second-round pick that would have come back to the Jets in the Samuel offer, the 49ers exited the talks to lead the AFC East team to focus on draft options at receiver. A cap hit in the $4M neighborhood seems likely for Kessel on a one- or two-year deal, nut it could of course be lower if he opts to take a discount to join a cap-strapped contender. Although Jokic still averaged a grandiose 31.0 points, 13.2 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game in the series, the Warriors were able to close out the Nuggets in five games. A similarly extra-large team with unusual defensive versatility, the Celtics took to the second half of the regular season with a machine-like game-to-game destructiveness that the Bucks are more than familiar with. It was reported on Wednesday that the "G-Men" could not only be making their decision on Jones' fifth-year option before next Monday's deadline for 2019 first-round draft selections, but also prior to the commencement of Thursday night's NFL Draft. Injuries and inconsistent play have resulted in the former sixth overall pick being limited to 38 games (37 starts) over his first three seasons, during which he's gone 12-25. Brown played in 16 games for the second straight year and ended 2021 second on the team only to All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews in targets (146), receptions (91), receiving yards (1,008) and receiving touchdowns (six). The 24-year-old's targets, receptions and receiving yards totals were all career highs and he was on the field for 924 offensive snaps (80 percent), which were also the most of his young NFL journey. In March, Green Bay traded All-Pro Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders and also saw Marquez Valdes-Scantling sign with the Kansas City Chiefs. Rodgers also talked about the departure of Adams on Thursday night. And then after my third year, leading up to the end of the season, you know, he wasn’t playing. The European competition is currently going through its quarter-finals, and AS Monaco is facing a historic team in the competition, Olympiacos. It's been reported that they want to go back to their blue-collar culture for the next campaign. KD was under fire after failing to lead his team to at least win one playoff game this season, and the player didn't hesitate to fire back at those criticizing him.

Monaco E-Prix: Evans charges to Formula E pole over Wehrlein (autosport.com)

Jaguar's Mitch Evans set a stunning lap to secure pole position for the Monaco E-Prix, beating Pascal Wehrlein in the final duel by a quarter of a second.

Of the other quarter finals, Vandoorne beat Robin Frijns in a duel that initially looked closely contested, with Frijns ahead by the close of the first sector. Evans beat Vergne by over a tenth in their semi-final bout, retaining an advantage through all three sectors to leave the French driver out of luck in his bid to make the final. Wehrlein's lock-up at the Rascasse decided in favour of Evans, who takes his first pole of the year. But the Mercedes driver found a hatful of time in the middle sector, turning the tables with a near-0.3s lead ahead of the final sector, which he largely preserved to stamp his semi-final card. In the meantime, Wehrlein had claimed his place in the qualifying final after beating Vandoorne by almost two tenths, building a margin to that tune in the opening sector of the lap. Evans had made his way to his first final duel of the season by virtue of dispatching Lucas di Grassi and Jean-Eric Vergne on his road to the shootout for pole, and immediately made an impression by going a tenth faster than Wehrlein in the opening sector.

Loophole Evans used to nearly win Monaco is closed - The Race (The Race)

The FIA has closed off a potential loophole that was exploited by Mitch Evans to nearly snatch Monaco Formula E victory last year.

Teams will then have to make a call on whether they take that suggestion. Evans elected to cut the chicane and held on in front. Guenther was running in that group and was compromised by Evans being unable to make the chicane. The Race understands that Elkins will give teams a verbal offer to give back positions in similar circumstances at the chicane. Evans replied with a sardonic “thanks Scot for leaving it so late” towards race director Scot Elkins. Evans then took the attack mode loop at Casino Square and the Jaguar team argued that this was ceding the position and more to Vergne.

Rounding out Group A were Dragon/Penske Autosport’s Sérgio Sette Câmara and Nissan’s Sébastien Buemi. Evans, who appeared to have energy concerns in the early laps, was able to take second, while Vergne held off Frijns for the final podium.
