The instrument in question is a left-handed 1969 Mustang in Competition Lake Placid with a matching head, according to Julien’s. Cobain can be seen playing the guitar throughout the music video which depicts a twisted version of a high school pep rally. That could turn out to be low, though.

The three-day auction event, which also includes other items, will take place from May 20 to May 22.

His 1959 D-18E guitar, which he played during Nirvana's performance on MTV Unplugged in 1993, hit the site for an estimated selling price of at least $1 million. According to the release, the vehicle has remained with the musician's sister, Kim, for the last 28 years. "Rarely do personally owned items from Kurt Cobain with this incredible and unprecedented provenance of his life and career become available for public sale."
