All James Bond movies returning to cinemas for anniversary ... (Radio Times)

James Bond is returning to the big screen sooner than expected, following the announcement that all 25 Bond films will be released in cinemas.

The announcement follows hot on the heels of Bond retrospectives at both the recent Oscars and the BAFTAs, in addition to the release of Daniel Craig's final outing as the MI6 agent in the hit No Time To Die. "In 1962, Sean Connery introduced Ian Fleming’s character to cinema audiences. It continues: "The films will be screening in stunning 4K and will screen chronologically at Vue and Odeon Cinemas across the UK and Ireland starting mid-April with the 60th Anniversary of Dr. No, through to No Time To Die in October, alongside other celebratory programmes at selected cinemas nationwide."

All 25 James Bond Movies Coming To Amazon Prime Video This April (Screen Rant)

Based on Ian Fleming's novels, the historic Bond film franchise dates all the way back to 1962 when it began with Dr. No starring Sean Connery in the lead role.

Thus, it was only a matter of time before the Bond movies made their way on to Amazon's streaming service in an effort to bolster their offerings. The news was first reported by British publications which has led to speculation that the movies will only be available to stream in the United Kingdom, which makes sense since Bond is a British franchise at its core. This includes all 25 canonical films, which excludes the non-Eon entries – 1967's Casino Royale and 1983’s Never Say Never Again. Unfortunately, the collection will only be available to stream on Prime Video for a “limited time.”

Prime recently acquired every movie in MGM’s 4,000 movie library, among them the cinematic exploits of Ian Fleming‘s iconic MI6 agent. Starting April 15, the streaming service will have access to every canon film in James Bond’s 25-movie history, from 1962’s Dr. No to 2021’s No Time to Die — meaning you can re-watch the adventures of every guy to hold the license to kill: Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Craig. As 007 fans know, 1967’s version of Casino Royale, starring David Niven and Woody Allen (!), and 1983’s Never Say Never Again, which had Connery reprising the iconic role, aren’t considered “official” Bond films.
