Patriots quarterback Mac Jones made an appearance to donate $100k, hang out at the Boys and Girls Club of Metro South on Tuesday.

“They have good hearts,” Jones added. “I just told them to have fun and enjoy whatever level you’re playing at,” Jones said. I told ’em to have fun and enjoy the moment and don’t take it for granted.

Metro RTA unveils first electric buses in Summit County (cleveland.com)

Metro RTA CEO Dawn Distler kicked off the event and introduced the buses — dubbed “Jolt” and “Volt” — to area officials, Metro RTA employees and community ...

Metro RTA just signed an agreement to purchase two additional electric buses, Distler announced at the event. So thank you to the forward thinking of the board and the executive. “By truly making public transportation work for all riders by incorporating sustainability into the overall plan, Metro RTA has solidified its presence in the communities they serve. “The electric bus is the best thing. Metro RTA received a 2020 Ohio VW Diesel Mitigation Trust Fund grant through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for $590,500. The new buses will be put into service immediately on various routes, according to Molly Becker, Metro RTA’s Director of Public Relations and Marketing.

Miyana Holden from Bloomfield Hills was selected to attend. Her mom says Miyana is his biggest advocate. For a question regarding social issues, she told them she values educational equality.

I’m going to be here hopefully for a long time and have a lot of chances to come and hang out, play, whatever you guys want to do,” Jones told the crowd. “There are so many kids here with a great future,” Jones added. “I’m going to be back and we’re going to have a lot of time to spend together.” In addition to his time, Jones also had a few special gifts. He spoke with the group and enjoyed some time in breakout rooms, and made it clear that this was not a one-time visit.
