Audi A6 Avant e-tron Concept Previews 2024 EV (Autoweek)

Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept follows the A6 e-tron sedan we saw last year. But will we get it here in 2024 or later?

Audi says that this "is not just a simple design exercise," spelling out an intent to put this model into production once the electric A6 arrives in 2024. Offering a dual-motor layout, the sleek concept serves up a combined output of 469 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, drawing juice from a 100.0-kWh battery that, for comparison, is slightly smaller than that of the Mercedes-Benz EQS flagship. With a length of 16.3 feet, the concept features a generous rear cargo section paired with the sedan design that we saw last year, one that does not try to appear excessively rakish in profile, thus preserving usable space inside.

Audi unveils Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept; long-range electric ... (Green Car Congress)

As part of its 2022 Annual Media Conference, Audi is presenting the next model in its future electrically powered A6 Luxury Class: the Avant.

Two months later, the Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron premiered—two SUVs in the compact segment with a common technological platform, the Volkswagen Group’s MEB. Following the Audi e-tron SUV and e-tron Sportback, the highly dynamic e-tron GT quattro—based on a new technology platform developed jointly with Porsche AG—made its debut in February 2021. But there are also plans to expand the PPE range into the B-segment, which has been the highest-volume market segment for Audi for decades. Thus, the A6 Avant will become the storage champ in a double sense—not only because of its spacious back end. In addition, the e-tron family will also include basic versions optimized for minimum consumption and maximum range—in this case, propulsion will come from a single electric motor mounted to the rear axle. This technology will enter the high-volume mid-range and luxury segments with the PPE for the first time. Furthermore, their range and charging speed keep pace with those of combustion engines, making them universal cars for everyday needs, from short trips to the store to longer road trips when going on vacation. The battery size and wheelbase of PPE vehicles are scalable, making them suitable for use in different market segments. The PPE is designed exclusively for battery-electric drive systems and can therefore take full advantage of all the benefits of this technology. The concept car features Audi air suspension with adaptive dampers. At the same time, it represents a new design concept with the same dimensions as the A6 Sportback e-tron. Using the entire vehicle base makes it possible to achieve a relatively flat layout for the battery.

Audi A6 Avant E-Tron Concept: Sharp electric sport wagon packs ... (Green Car Reports)

The racy-looking Avant E-Tron previews a production model unlikely to reach the U.S., but its platform will underpin upcoming Audi EVs for global markets.

A series of recent Audi concepts—including the Grandsphere and Skysphere—have shown how freeing a dedicated EV platform can be. The PPE platform's 800-volt charging system also allows for a 5%-80% charge in less than 25 minutes and a maximum charging rate of 270 kw, according to Audi. In this case, the platform is wrapped in wagon bodywork with dimensions similar to the current Audi A6 sedan and A7 fastback.

The 2024 Audi A6 e-Tron Prototype Continues To Step Out In The ... (Top Speed)

The A6 e-Tron has been spotted yet again, but it's still far from production ... It seems that Audi engineers were very busy today. On one side of the world they ...

This means the car should have around 400 miles on the EPA cycle. The production version seems to have a very short overhang at the front and we can also see the prominent split-headlight design we have earlier seen on the Audi Q6 e-tron. Do not expect the production version to retain the aggressive design of the concept.

New Audi A6 Avant e-Tron revealed: price, specs and release date (carwow)

Audi has revealed an estate version of the new A6 e-Tron concept. Read on for all you need to know.

Top-spec versions of the Audi A6 Avant e-Tron will have 476hp and 800Nm of torque. Tap the button below to get started today. Under the floor sits a 100kWh battery that’ll give the car around 435-miles of range. The Avant does have a sporty looking sloping roofline though, along with a large roof spoiler. As does the huge rear diffuser which looks more like it belongs on a full-fat RS car than a practical electric estate. This means you get the blanked out grille and slim LED headlights that can be customised to show a variety of patterns.

2024 Audi A6 E-Tron spy shots: Audi's Tesla Model S rival takes shape (Motor Authority)

Audi is about to launch an electric A6, but the current gas-powered model will stick around for a few years still.

The electric variant is the A6 E-Tron, which Audi first previewed in 2021 with a thinly veiled concept version. Audi has confirmed that the A6 E-Tron will offer single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive. As our spy shots indicate, the production A6 E-Tron will closely resemble the stunning concept.

I'm Going To Need Audi To Give Us This Gorgeous A6 Avant E-Tron (Jalopnik)

Piggybacking off last year's A6 e-tron Sportback concept, Audi has teased us with some possible forbidden fruit: an EV wagon. The German luxury brand has ...

... in the future, an Audi A6 e-tron will gleam with up to 700 kilometers (435 miles) of range (under the WLTP standard), depending on the drive system and model variant. With its 800 volt system and a charging capacity of up to 270 kW, it can take in enough energy in just 10 minutes at a fast-charging station to drive about 300 kilometers (186 miles). With a rumored 2024 introduction for the production version, don’t get your hopes up for this thing to come to the U.S. If it’s not a crossover or crossover-like substitute, consumers don’t want it. The A6 Avant e-tron rides on VW’s new PPE (which generically stands for premium platform electric) that will also underpin the Porsche Macan EV and Q5 e-tron. While the design is fantastic, what really matters is how it’ll perform in the real world as an EV. In just three years, Audi plans to have 20 EV models on sale worldwide. From the slanted D pillar to the short overhangs, and huge 22-inch wheels, it’s a rolling supermodel.

Audi A6 Avant e-tron is an electric wagon concept with a massive ... (Mashable)

We've seen plenty of electric sedans and SUVs, but electric wagons are still a rarity. Now, Audi is changing that with its new Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept.

The battery will also charge extremely fast thanks to Audi's 800 volt charging tech; Audi says a 10-minute stop to the charging station should give the car about 300 km (186 miles) of range. These numbers are achieved by two electric motors which produce a total of 469 horsepower. The car, announced at Audi's 2022 Annual Media Conference, is a luxurious electric wagon with fast charging, lots of range, and tons of space for its passengers and luggage.

Audi A6 Avant E-Tron Concept First Look: The Drop-Dead Station ... (Motor Trend)

We expect the production-ready Audi A6 Avant E-Tron to arrive sometime in 2023. The all-electric station wagon should start around $75000 to $85000.

In true E-Tron concept style, the fully electric A6 Avant also gets camera-based side mirrors featuring a sleek design. Those include flattened-out LED headlights, large air intakes, a single frame body-color grille, gloss black intake surrounds, and an "E-Tron" logo embedded above the front lip. (The car must be parked and, of course, facing a wall.) Drivers can configure the LED headlights and OLED tail lamps with various custom light signatures. With back-to-back electric vehicle reveals last year, including the all-electric A6 E-Tron Concept, Audi just unveiled another close-to-production EV model. Devoid of hard edges, the upscale family hauler features a low-slung profile, an all-glass curving roof, short overhangs, a high beltline, and slanted D-pillars. It rides on 22-inch wheels and comes finished in a warm shade of gray called Neptune Valley, which reveals hints of iridescent gold under the sunlight.
