While Tom Holland's MCU Spider-Man had brutal battles against Dafoe's Norman Osborn and Andrew Garfield faced off against both of his foes in one-on-one fights, ...
While Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man saved Holland’s iteration from the Green Goblin in a sense, Spider-Man: No Way Home shouldn’t have cut a scene where the MCU’s best villain fights his main nemesis. Having Maguire’s Spider-Man and the Green Goblin fight each other would have been a spectacular moment in a film already filled with so many crowd-pleasing scenes. Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin nearly had a rematch in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but the scene was disappointingly cut.
Thanks to an Instagram post by artist Josh Nizzi, fans can take a look at a much crazier alternate look for an upgraded Goblin Glider.
While Dafoe's performance may have been phenomenal in No Way Home, the design of his villain's glider was fairly forgettable. While Molina's Doc Ock looked fairly similar to his original appearance, Jamie Foxx was the one to get the biggest updates. There was Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, Alfred Molina's Doc Ock, and Jamie Foxx's Electro alongside both Sandman and Lizard. By the end of the movie, they had all teamed up to take down Tom Holland's hero, all fighting for control over a magic box.
